Yamazaki's New World
It was a normal day in Takashi Yamazaki's life, well, at close as you can get to normal. Sure, he got hit on the head by Chiharu, he shared his lies/stories with his circle of friends, and in addition, bored the class to death again after Sensei Terada called on him to answer a question and he made up an entire story about how Einstein's formula for energy eventually led to the creation of Pokémon.
He sadly sighed, with his eyes clamped shut like always. He had always wondered what life would be if his eyes were open…ever since he was a little kid, he had his eyes shut, and never thought he was missing anything. But in art today, as the teacher was going over how emotionally powerful a sunset can be if you could see it, he longed for the ability to see.
He finally stopped at an old-looking shop with an old woman. He couldn't believe his ears.
"The ability to see for only one dollar!"
He hurriedly rushed over and gave her a dollar. "Tell me what seeing is like," he said. "Tell me what you can show me." And that was when he heard her sing softly…
Old Lady:
I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid.
Tell me young lad, now when did you last
Let your heart decide?
I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder

With a new ability,

A new fantastic point of view

Yamazaki decided to join in on the singing, too, and made up his lyrics as he sang.

The old lady just smiled and knew that he truly deserved this gift, and felt happy for him.
