Restoring the Clan
Summary: What if Naruto had a better memory than most people thought? Humourous look at the confrontation in the Valley of the End. Genfic. VERY short, practically Drabble.
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, or any of the places, characters or relevant plots that may be alluded to. I merely own the idea and premise of this fiction, and even that is shaky at best. No profit is being made from this story, except the profit of having a happy mind, and good feelings for entertaining people somewhat.
They stood facing off against each other. One a Blonde, one Raven-haired. One with a perpetual smile, that was currently looking rather false. One sneering. One, Naruto Uzumaki, the other, Sasuke Uchiha. One driven by ambition, another by revenge. One regarded as an idiot, the other as a Genius.
"So....why running away Sasuke?" questioned the blonde.
"It's the only way. The only way I can gain power and kill my brother"
"Yeah, but....well, you're betraying the village right? So, wasn't your ambition to restore your clan after you've killed him?"
"And?"
"Well, how can you do that if you'll be killed on sight if you return to Konoha?"
The raven-haired boy, Sasuke, blinked rapidly as he processed what the Blonde, Naruto, said.
"Well....damn. Didn't think of that"
And with that said, Sasuke walked over to his best friend, and started the long walk back to Konoha.
"Naruto...just promise me one thing?"
"What?"
"Don't leave me alone with Sakura? She scares me!"
Naruto laughed happily, threw his arms over his friend, and continued walking back to his various temporary team-mates.
A/N: Told ya it was short. Probably the shortest piece I've ever written, or intend to write (Although, I gotta admit, I got so many rabid bunnies biting me, that maybe the odd drabble or two might help. Simply could NOT think of much more plot to put to this (Although, feel free to adopt this beginning from me, so long as you inform me so I can read the resultant fic ^_^).
Clearly a product from the deranged mind of someone who remembers that Sasuke had 2 goals "To restore my clan, and to kill a certain...someone"
