Parchment Balls of Fury

by IHaveASiriusObsession

Disclaimer: Harry Potter = JKR

A/N: I had originally intended to call this "Balls of Fury," but I thought that might be too suggestive ; )

She had to tell him, and she had to tell him now. It was essential that he knew what was on her mind- what she had been denying him the pleasure of for years.

It didn't matter that they were both currently in History of Magic class, she could find a way around that. There were other means of communication.

Thanking Merlin that he had decided to sit directly in front of her today, she ripped the corner off a piece of parchment and wrote down the words,

Meet me in the broom cupboard across the hall after class.

~ L.E.

Then, she rolled the parchment in her fingers until it formed a ball, and flicked it onto his desk.

She watched him slowly open the parchment. His eyes darted across it and she watched his eyebrows dissappear further and further into his hairline with each word.

For a moment, he appeared in deep thought. He was probably thinking of other people with the initials L.E.

Slowly, he craned his neck around to face her for conformation. She did not blush, but waved her fingers at him. He would know soon enough.

As the bell rang signaling the end of class, she rushed out of the History of Magic room, determined to reach the broom cupboard before he did. She just had time to drop her books on the floor before he entered, grinning.

Before he could do anything- before he could even speak, she brought her hand back and smacked him across the face. "James Potter you git!"
