A Deep Conversation

Kira and Rei were at Rei's apartment. They were sitting on his bed talking.
"Rei, can I ride your bike?" Kira looks up innocently at Rei.
"Kira, you have already rode my bike lots of times." Rei reminds her.
"I know, but that was with you. I want to ride it by myself like you do but not as fast." Kira smiled at him.
"I'm flattered that you wanna ride. Sure, but it has to be in broad daylight and you have to wear a helmet and all that stuff." Rei looked away from her, hiding his look of concern.
"Oh thank you so much Rei!" Kira jumped up and hugged Rei.
Rei took this opportunity to kiss Kira. Kira was taken aback by the sudden movement, but soon melted in the kiss. They stayed that way for a while until Rei released Kira's lips for a breath.
Kira and Rei both inhaled deeply then looked at each other. They started to laugh hysterically. They sat on Rei's bed and laughed till they couldn't laugh anymore.
"You should have seen your face." Rei laughed.
"You should have seen your face." Kira burst with laughter.
Kira sighed and looked longingly at Rei. Oh, he's so nice. I'm so glad I met him. I don't know what I would've done if I hadn't. Kira thought back to the times when she only knew Rei by rumors. The rumors weren't good either. She frowned and Rei saw her.
"What's the matter, Kira?" Rei had a look of concern on his face.
"Oh, I was just thinking about before you walked up to me that one fateful day. You know, the times when I only knew you by rumor?" she looked at him to see his reaction.
"What rumors did you know me by?" Rei looked at her and raised his eyebrow.
"You know, you sleeping with all these girls. You having a senior girlfriend. You doing drugs. So on and so on." She replied nonchalantly.
"Who in their right mind would accuse me of drug usage?" Rei looked at Kira for an answer. After she was quiet for a while he pushed forward. "I mean, 'cause I never did drugs. The only thing that you could call drugs is me smoking. Yeah." Rei looked away rubbing the back of his neck.
"I don't care, Rei. I will like you even if you do smoke. I would advice you not to smoke right before you're going to kiss me, for I have heard that kissing a smoker is like kissing an ashtray. Has anyone ever told you that?" Kira looked at Rei's turned back.
"No. I guess people were too afraid to confront me about something like that. I guess you're the bravest person there is." Rei laughed turning to face Kira.
Kira laughed with him. "That's not true. You are way braver than me." She looked up at him and smiled.
Rei and Kira looked into each other's eyes and just got lost in the moment. They stayed like that for, what seemed like, forever, not wanting the feeling to pass. Not wanting to loose each other.
