Want and Need
Summary: Vivien choses between the bad and the ugly. Drabble.

Chapter One
Vivien starred at Gabriel. He couldn't be serious. They'd only just gotten to the new farm, and now he wanted to jump right into the sex part of their relationship. It wasn't even that that bothered her. It was that he said it like a statement, not like a question. It was as though what she wanted didn't matter. Then again, it never really had. She'd simply made the mistake of having a heart once, and it had got her into everything that she really didn't want.
Sometimes she'd have killed to be human.
"Viv?" Gabriel leaned his head against hers, staring into her eyes. "What'd you say, beautiful?"
He had his big hands on her waist, holding her safely secure against him. It was a comfort to feel so loved again until she remembered that all he really seemed to want was sex from her. It also gave the distinct feeling of being trapped.
But it was a lot better than being alone.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and hid her face against his neck, murmuring, "Sure."
