Skittery looked up from his drum set. He'd been arranging it for practice, when he heard a door slam. He heard shuffling in the kitchen. He stood, and made his way to the kitchen, wondering what was going on. He heard whispers, giggles, and a, definite, "Shhhh!" He turned to corner, and entered the kitchen.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Snoddy and Swifty were beaming at him, and Snoddy held out a flaming cake. Swifty handed him a badly wrapped present, and grinned.
"I hope you like it!" he said, before reaching out and grasping Skittery's cheeks, kissing him soundly on the lips.
