A/N:

Okay, I am back with the sequel to Flash and Angel. I named this once Scarlet Angel because it seemed to fit, combining both Barry's nickname of the Scarlet Speedster, and Alicia's nickname of the Guardian Angel. I wasn't expecting to come back this soon, but I was just so excited to get this story up and running. I have pre-written the first four chapters to this and I will be working on chapter five. My goal is to make this story a little longer than the previous one, and I want to top what I did before. Hal Jordan will appear in this more frequently than the other one, and I will be bringing Dick Grayson back maybe around the holiday episode chapter, because I really want that to be the chapter where he meets Wally West, due to the fact that in the comics, Wally and Dick were known for having a close friendship with Roy Harper, and the two were known for going on "bro trips" together which typically consisted of them fighting crime and bickering like an old married couple. This is just assuming that the live action Titans show will be in the same universe as the Arrowverse is, which I am hoping that it is because I want to see Wally and Roy become members of the Titans, that's how I set it up to be in this story, so I am hoping that that is the direction that it will go. Additionally, yes, I will bring Roy into this story too, so I am pretty excited about that. And yes, Alicia will be hearing Sara's resurrection, and she will come to Star City to visit Sara after she gets her soul back, since Sara is Alicia's very first best friend.

These first couple chapters will be a bit short, because I wanted to break down the season two premier episodes with a few filler chapters that will add onto things later on as I write. The first two chapters in this story are fillers, but the last thing that I wanted was for them to feel forced.

As usual, read, review, and of course favor and follow if you are new.

Enjoy!

"This singularity won't stop feeding, not even after the earth is gone," Stein said.

"We need to disrupt the motion," Alicia said.

"Again, how will you do that?" Hal asked.

"We need to go at super speed into the center of that thing, run in the opposite direction of it," Barry said.

"You've never gone that fast before!" Carol said, her blue eyes wide.

"Alicia and I have to try," Barry said. "Let's do this!"

Alicia nodded and proceeded to run, jumping into flight, right towards the singularity. She flew and flew, watching as Barry's lightning passed her as he ran right beside her. They went in the opposite direction of the black hole, determined to save Central City.

However, down on the ground, Ronnie, Carol, Hal and Stein were all doubting that Alicia and Barry could do this all by themselves.

"They need help up there," said Carol. "They can't keep this up." She looked towards Hal.

Hal nodded. He and Carol got their suits on, and they flew towards the singularity to help Barry and Alicia, but not before Caitlin pressed a hard kiss against Ronnie's lips. Ronnie and Stein merged, and they all went up into the singularity, flying right in the eye of it.

"Firestorm, Hal, Carol," Barry whispered. They all proceeded to run and fly around the tornado, as fast as they could go to.

Barry could hear the words in his head.

Run, Barry, run!

Barry, Alicia, Hal, Carol and Firestorm didn't waste a second flying into the eye of the singularity, going straight at it together. However, they knew the risk that they needed to take with stopping this singularity from destroying the whole entire city. However, once they saw that the singularity was starting to halt, Hal could sense something in Carol's eyes as Ronnie and Stein started to separate. Hal seemed to sense what Carol was thinking. Carol could see the pain in Hal's eyes; the way how he tried telling her to not do what he thought she was going to do. Carol thought about it hard, thinking about her late mother, her late father who passed down the legacy of Ferris Aircraft to her, and now, the love of her life and her best friend whom she was about to leave behind. Tears stung in her eyes, knowing what was about to happen. She noticed Barry looking at her too, telling her not to do it. But Carol had faith that even if she did end up dead from this, she was going to go to heaven; she wasn't going to hell, not after everything she did as the Star Sapphire leader.

Barry noticed Ronnie and Stein separating after the singularity stopped. Barry and Hal both knew that they needed to catch a few of them, especially since Alicia was starting to lose control of her speed and her flight. Barry instantly caught Alicia before she fell to the ground, with Hal managing to get Stein, but, they couldn't get a hold of Ronnie or Carol. There was only so much that they could do in that moment, and Barry watched as Carol and Ronnie disappeared. Barry, Alicia, Hal and Stein got down on the ground, safely at that, and it was a miracle even, but, Caitlin and Iris noticed that there were two people missing from the group: Ronnie and Carol. Iris, realizing what this meant, felt her eyes stinging with tears, and she walked over to Hal, the man that she loved like a brother. She could hardly dare to believe it. Carol Ferris, the tall brunette, blue-eyed girl that Iris used to play Barbies with as a child, was gone. Hal just embraced Iris tightly, his own eyes burning with tears as he hugged her tightly, along with Barry, the three of the original four, for a good few minutes, before Barry moved on to hug Caitlin tightly, to comfort her over the death of Ronnie.

Hal could feel his face burning red as he buried himself into Iris' dark locks. Caitlin was shaking as she sobbed in Barry's arms. It wasn't fair. She just got Ronnie back; it was not fair.

"I'm sorry," Barry whispered to Caitlin.

They all stood there in grief for Ronnie and Carol, knowing what they had to do next. They needed to have a funeral, but what were they going to bury when there were no bodies to bury?

This was probably the saddest day for not only Team Flash, but also for Hal.

It was a good five months later, and everybody was having a hard time moving on from what had happened.

Dick had moved back out to Bludhaven, to rejoin the police department there, because he wanted to be closer to his adoptive father, Bruce, promising to keep in touch with Barry, Alicia and the others. He needed to be on his own for a little bit and he needed a little bit of solitude, which Barry and Alicia understood. They even dropped Dick off at the airport with his Nightwing suits and gear, too.

Hal stayed with Joe, Barry and Alicia for at least three months, needing to stay close to his friends in Central City as he grieved Carol. Soon enough, he was called for a video conference with the Ferris Aircraft board of directors, who were questioning whether or not he was fit to inherit Carol's legacy and expand the business. When Hal was told that he was needed back in Coast City, he said goodbye to Barry, Iris, Eddie and Alicia, promising to visit and check in from time to time. However, he did promise to come back for Iris and Eddie's wedding, which was going to be in December.

Three months after the deaths of Carol and Ronnie and after Hal left for Coast City Eddie and Iris learned that they were pregnant with their first child. They were beginning to start a family, and they were in the need of a bigger condo rather than Eddie's smaller apartment that they had been living in. Eddie and Iris signed a lease to a much bigger condo that was close to Joe's house. Barry, Joe and Alicia had helped Eddie and Iris move into the new place. Eddie and Iris were ready to have a family, to have everything that they could want together, and they were expecting the baby to be born in May of next year.

After Ronnie's death, Caitlin had quit her job at S.T.A.R Labs, and proceeded to start working with Tina McGee at Mercury Labs, as being at S.T.A.R Labs reminded her too much of what she had lost. She had asked Barry and Alicia if she could resign, as Wells – no, Eobard – left S.T.A.R Labs in Barry and Alicia's names, so they were now the co-CEOs of the company. Barry and Alicia told Caitlin that they accepted her resignation; that she needed to do what she had to do to grieve and mourn Ronnie.

Cisco started working with the CCPD to form a metahuman taskforce, to catch metahuman criminals and help in any way that he possibly could, even though Team Flash was disbanded, as Alicia and Barry wanted to be on their own and be independent from everyone else. They didn't want anyone else to get hurt because of them. Alicia's little sister, Massie, was working her ass off in college in the newly named Star City in memory of Ray Palmer, who had died after an explosion at Palmer Tech when he'd tried working on his super suit. As a result, after Oliver having fought and defeated Ras Al Ghul, Ollie moved to Ivy Town with Felicity to have a quiet, domestic life with her. At least Ollie had somewhat of a victory, but that meant Team Arrow was stretched thin and vulnerable, considering that they were experiencing terrorist attacks in Star City, especially without Roy. It was hard for everyone to adjust to all the changes that were taking place.

Now, in the fifth month of everything going on, Alicia and Barry found themselves having a double date with Iris and Eddie in their new apartment, having dinner that Iris had cooked with Alicia. Alicia could hardly believe that her best friend was pregnant with her very first baby.

That evening, Barry found himself at the dinner table with Iris, Eddie and Alicia. Iris had fixed a huge dinner of tomato soup, fettuccini Alfredo, and garden salad, all four needing a break from everything that was happening right now. Barry and Alicia had happily taken up Iris' invitation to dinner, because they needed to get out of the house. Plus, Barry and Alicia were looking at apartments currently themselves.

"So, Iris, how has work been?" Alicia asked.

"It's been good. I mean, there's been a huge lacking of metahuman activity," Iris said.

"I think we should be thanking Cisco and the CCPD for that. Besides, I found something for myself to do with myself. I decided to join the metahuman task force," Alicia said.

"Really?" asked Eddie. "So we'll be working together a lot more."

"Yeah, plus, in a month or so, I'm going to need to get a new partner," Alicia said.

"So, how have you two been doing solo?" Eddie asked.

"It's okay," Barry said.

"Are you two going to be going to Flash and Angel day in a month?" Eddie asked.

"No, we do not think that we are going to that," said Alicia.

"Why's that?" asked Iris.

"Because it feels wrong," Barry said. "I mean, come on now we all know who the real heroes were the day that we stopped that singularity. Carol, Hal and Ronnie? Nobody's even acknowledging what it is that they did. Dick should be getting recognition too, and you Eddie. It's not just all about us."

"Everyone in the city just wants to thank the two people that stopped the city from being destroyed. And considering the fact that you two are working together to rebuild Jitters and several other buildings here in the city," said Eddie.

"Look, guys, we know that it is a big deal, but can we just not talk about this right now?" Alicia asked, taking a sip of red wine. "Barry and I have got a lot on our plates."

"You will have a lot less on your plate if you just asked Cisco or Caitlin or Stein for help," Iris said.

"Cait left for a reason, Iris," Barry said. "There's nothing left for her at S.T.A.R Labs with Ronnie's death. And Hal, he's busy trying to carry on Carol's legacy. We have no choice."

"Actually you both have a choice," Eddie said. "Nobody wins all by themselves, not even you two."

Alicia nodded, but she wasn't really taking in what Eddie and Iris were saying. Even though they both made good points to them, the couple didn't entirely get it at all. "Yeah, yeah, we know. But we do not want you two worrying about us. You're going to be having a family," Alicia said.

"Don't you two remember? Hal, Oliver, Felicity, John Diggle, your sister, your mother, your brothers, Cisco, Caitlin, Dad, Eddie, Dick and I? Everyone's your family," Iris pointed out to them.

"For once just let us help you. You've been going alone for five months, plus, you both have to keep S.T.A.R Labs up and on its feet. You two need to figure out what you are going to do with S.T.A.R Labs and how you are going to get the company producing money," Eddie said.

Barry said, "We know that. Okay? We never thought that we'd end up having a business to run. It's hard enough being in there knowing that that is where everything went to hell."

"Well, have you both decided what you are going to do? Because you cannot pay for this company out of your pockets," Iris said.

"We're figuring that out. After all the company is ours now, so we need to keep it afloat," Barry said.

"And we're going to have a hard time finding employees and hiring people. S.T.A.R Labs has had the worst reputation since people have found out about the fact that S.T.A.R Labs is responsible for creating metahumans. Plus, we need to worry about Cisco's weekly pay check, because he's still technically an employee there," Alicia added in.

"Well, you two will figure it out. You always do," Eddie said.

"Of course," Alicia said. She just proceeded to eat her pasta, letting out a sigh. As much as she didn't want to involve Iris and Eddie in her and Barry's crusade, the two were still family to them. Iris was Barry's adoptive sister, carrying his niece or nephew; she would always be Barry and Alicia's rock through everything.

"You know that we don't deserve friends like you, right?" Barry asked Iris and Eddie around a small smile.

"Shut up," Iris said with a smile, reaching over and squeezing Barry's hand lightly. "You two of all people are deserving of us."
