Author's Notes: This is my first fanfiction, so please can I have some feedback with how I'm doing. School is really stressing me out at the moment, and I need something positive to focus on.

Chapter One: Surprise Return
It was like any normal day at Hogwarts – sunny, with a slight covering of cloud and the chance of rain later on that afternoon – and I was sitting in the Great Hall with my three best friends in the whole world, Crystal, Alexis and Shannon. We were just discussing how much Professor Snape sucked for giving us too much Potions homework, when the doors to the Great Hall burst open.
An unseasonal wind gathered as the doors were thrown open, and then into the Hall strutted the most gorgeous boy I'd ever seen in my life. He was so gorgeous he was even hotter than Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy and Ron Weasley combined. He was impossibly beautiful!
He had the body of a Greek Adonis, only with pale white skin and perfect, angular features. His ruffled - "I've just stepped out of bed" - hair was an exquisite shade of bronze, and his eyes were a rich, deep topaz; glittering like jewels.
As I sat admiring the figure of the most perfect male specimen I'd ever seen, a startled scream filled the Great Hall.
"OMG! Cedric Diggory is back from the dead!! Is he like an Inferi or something?!!!"
"No, I have actually escaped the mortal death Lord Voldemort tried to inflict upon me. As I lay dying in that fated grave-yard, a kindly doctor found me, and turned me into one of his own kind. Now, like my new father, I am a vampire!" came the smooth, silky-reply that sounded like melted honey running over a spoon.
Everyone in the Great Hall looked at Cedric in shock as they digested the news, but I continued to stare at him. I didn't care if he was a vampire or not, he was still HOT!!
"Alas, this cannot be, we cannot have a vampire in Hogwarts. You'll eat all the students," protested Professor Dumbldore.
"Fear not, good Professor. I no longer feed off humans. I get all the nutrients I need from the synthetic blood developed by my scientist father," Cedric claimed.
"Oh, Merlin's beard, what a turn of events," Professor Dumbledore exclaimed. "Very well, Mr Diggory, you may stay. Please come to my office so that we can make the appropriate arrangements."
"Very well, good Professor," Cedric agreed. "And please, call me by my new name. The name my sire-father gave me; Cedward Cullenory."
I watched in awe as Cedward followed Professor Dumbledore out of the Great Hall.
"Well, he was just gorgeous, wasn't he?" Alexis comment.
"Oh Merlin, yes," agreed Crystal, drool dribbling from her chin.
"What did you think of new Cedward, Annabelle? Shannon asked me.
"It doesn't matter what I think, does it?" I sighed. "No one as perfect as Cedward is ever going to look twice at me. I'm short, fat and ugly."
My friends tried to reassure me, but I knew it was true. Where as other girls had big breasts and long legs, I was stumpy, flat chested and had acne. Not to mention, I wore glasses too. I was just a normal, average girl and no one as gorgeous as Cedward would ever be interested in me.
