Chapter 1 for Paying The Price For Loosing A Life.
Yume stood hovering over a stove.
Smoke slowly slid out of one of the half-covered pots.
Hatori walked in and greeted his wife with a kiss on the lips. Yume gave him a small smile in response.
Hatori sat his briefcase and coat down and stood over Yume, he slowly wrapped his arms around her hips.
Yume blushed and giggled. "What're you doing?" she asked.
Hatori put his chin on Yume's shoulder and replied with "I don't really know."
Yume shook her head, and then tended back to cook as she was still connected with Hatori.
Hatori unlatched himself from her frame and sat at the dinner table.
"So what are we eating tonight..?" he asked while reading a thick book with a blue cover.
Yume frowned and turned around with a pan in her hands. "Nothing! This is the 6th time this week; we'll have it eat out …again!" She felt like she wanted to cry.
She plopped down onto a chair and put the pan on the table. "I'm a failure." She mumbled, placing her head on the desk, her arms covering her face.
Hatori laughed and shook his head. "Darling no your not." Yume's eyes peaked out, though her arms still shielding some of her face.
"Really?" she asked with a muffled voice. Hatori nodded with a smile. Yume felt so ecstatic since she had married the man of her dreams. Not only had the curse been broken but they were also planning a baby soon.
Yume sat up and sighed. "About that thing..." she began. Hatori folded a page in the book, marking his place, and placed it on the table. "Yes..?" he asked putting his hand on top of hers.
She peered up at him. Her small hazel eyes sparkled in the light of the lamps.
