Eleven years ago, Voldemort and his Death Eaters arrivedat Godric's Hollow to kill the Potters. Voldemort ventured into the house, and murdered first James Potter, and then Lily, who died trying to save Harry's life. When Voldemort tried to kill Harry, the magic rebounded on him. When the Death Eaters saw their leader destroyed, they fled from the house. Right before Lucius Malfoy stepped out the door, he heard a peculiar noise.
"Wait!" he yelled. He ventured back into the house. After searching for a few minutes, he found a baby, a female one. He realized that this must be a Potter. Thinking that Potters had many dark and dangerous powers, he decided that he could not kill her. He thought that she might be of use to their cause, however, he did not want to pick her up.
"Come on Malfoy!" said a Death Eater. "The muggles are starting to swarm!" Gritting his teeth, Lucius took off his cloak, and made a sort of sling to carry the baby in. He held it by the very edge, so that Summer was dangling at least a foot from his hand.
"Malfoy! What is that?"
"It is a baby. What else?"
The Death Eater looked stumped for a moment, then said, "We will discuss this when we get back to our hideout." With these parting words, they all apparated away.
Once they were back at the hide out, Lucius placed the baby on a table, and backed away in disgust. The Death Eaters sat down around her, and began to discuss what to do.
Then, Theodore Nott said "Finders Keepers!" And all of the Death Eaters backed away, and no matter how hard Lucius argued, he couldn't get anyone to take the baby. He looked down at the baby in his arms. She had red hair, and green eyes. She was wearing footie pajamas.
Then he returned home. "Narcissa we have got a problem."
" What happened?" Narcissa asked.
"First, the little baby could not be killed, and our leader is gone! Then, it turns out the Potters had another child, and now we're stuck with her!"
"How did that happen?" Lucius told her the whole story from when they apparated from the hide out, to when he returned home.
"You would think, that someone else would take her for us, because of all the things we have done for the cause!" Lucius nodded grimly. "Well, since we are stuck with her we had better name her, but perhaps she has her name embroidered on her clothes somewhere?" Lucius looked down at the baby in his hands and shook his head. Narcissa reached over and took the baby. She looked at her for a second, and then smirked at Lucius. She held up the baby to show him the words, clearly embroidered, Summer Potter.
Smirking, she carried Summer up the steps to her new room, which was really an old guest room. She transfigured the bed into a very fancy crib, and placed Summer into it. Narcissa looked at Summer for a very long time. Then, she cast a semi-permanent glamour spell on Summer, turning her red hair blond and her green eyes a grayish-blue.
Narcissa then, returned down stairs, and told Lucius that she had done the spell. "But how will we explain that we had a baby out of thin air, right after someone reports that the Potter's daughter is missing?" Eventually, after a little brainstorming, they came up with a story. Summer was their niece, and they were raising her because her parents, wholived in America, had died. They had Signed the necessary papers in America, which as whyno one had heard sbout any of this. They had not wanted to tell anybody, because of problems that might postpone her arrival. Luckily for them, it turned out nobody had known about Summer, the Potters probably hadn't told anyone because of the danger. This is how the Malfoys got another child, and Harry Potter, lost his sibling.
