Naruto was always there , shooting him evil looks , saying how much better he was , and basicly never shutting up. Sasuke thought he was an clumsy idiot , trying to ignore him but always in the end he made sure he would just best him. A family - that's what they had found. Brothers, that what they were. Two competive brothers mindlessly trying to best each other. But through that fun was the dark lurking around Sasuke. No matter what family or happiness found, he was an avenger. Train to best and kill one man. To restore the clan.
Orochimaru had his eyes on the sharingan. He wanted it. He knew exactly how to get them. Power. That single word alone could attract Sasuke closer. Sasuke at first rejected the power completely. He was getting stronger in his own way.
His thoughts first swayed during Gaara and Narutos fight. That power... how did Naruto possess such power? Orochimaru drifted through his thought but was quickly forced out.
Second time... Itachi. He fought with all hate and anger but was nowhere near strong enough. He was horribly beaten. He didnt even make Itachi break a sweat.
Third time...At the hospital. Rasengan vs. Chidori. Sasuke's attack was nowhere near close to Naruto's impact.
He was weak. He couldn't have all that hate and anger to full potential. He wasnt suffering enough. Those bonds dragged him down. Severing them was his only way for strength. "I'll scream if you leave." His family... Live to hate. The voice echoed through his mind. Not love. One less bond.
"Why are you trying so hard to help me? You think you know what it feels like? How could you? You never had anyone to begin with!" One last fight.
"You're right. I can't understand. But to me you are my first bond. Thats why i won't lose you." One last bond.
Staring down at Naruto, i will find my own way... The bonds were severed. Nothing tying him down. No more weaknesses. He was once again completely alone.
