The day I got the message from the Grumps was a day I never thought I'd see. You see, I had been watching Arin and Dan play video games for quite some time and when I quit my toxic job, I knew this was something I had to get into. They were looking for new interns and I knew this was my one opportunity to do something I actually wanted to do with my life. Sure, I'd have to leave Florida, pack up all my possessions, get in my car and drive for days across the country just for an internship but, like I said, I knew this was a once in a lifetime opportunity. The morning I got the email was like any other morning I'd been experiencing lately since quitting my job. I checked Indeed first, looking to see if I had gotten any messages and then checked to see what was hiring. Then, I would check my email to see if I had gotten anything from any other company maybe not on Indeed or an employer trying to directly contact me. I had applied for the intern position weeks ago and after the second week, I just figured I hadn't been selected and they were just too busy to tell me. But when I scrolled past multiple emails from Lootcrate and some from Spencers, I saw a reply to the email. My heartbeat increased and I clicked the email, my eyes still cloudy with sleep.

"Dear Rylinn," the email read. "We at Game Grumps Studio would love to have you intern for us. We have a few positions open including just running office errands to running our social media page. If you are still interested in the position, send us a reply and we will make out a plan. We hope to hear from you soon, Arin and Dan."

I couldn't believe it! They really replied back and actually wanted me to join the Grumps! I actually pinched myself a few times to make sure I wasn't dreaming and replied that I would love to intern for them but that it might take a bit for me to get there because I'll have to travel across the country. I waited for the reply as I watched some stuff on YouTube, drank some coffee, and smoked a few cigarettes. I finally got a reply a few hours later and they gave me all of the information on how to get there and told me when I would be starting. I excitedly told my parents who had know about the application for some time now and although they were sad that I'd be leaving, they knew how much I wanted this opportunity and how good this would actually be for me. I of course couldn't leave my cat but I also didn't know what I was going to do with her. Hopefully some hotels in California allow pets.

I had to leave in the morning because it was going to be a long drive so I packed up everything I could actually take and spent some time with my family before getting to bed early. In the morning I loaded my car with my bags and my cat and made my way to California.
