This is a chapter about Natsu proposing to Lucy. It's only one chapter. Will he have the guts to ask her? Will Lucy say yes?
Chapter: A Dragon Slayer proposes to a Celestial Wizard
One day, Lucy was looking at the job board. She was looking to pay off rent for her apartment. She was looking at the jobs, and Natsu came up to her. They have been dating for over 3 years.
"Hey Lucy," said Natsu. Lucy turns around.
"Oh hey Natsu," said Lucy as she smiled. Natsu blushed really hard.
"I was wondering if you and I can go on a job together," Natsu said nervously as he blushed. Lucy just giggled and agreed. Happy also wanted to come as well as he flew onto Lucy's head. They decided to go on a dangerous mission together was to fight a dragon. Natsu was excited about it.
"Alright, I'm all fired up," said Natsu. Lucy sighed as she knew that there was no stopping Natsu. They went to the location to where the dragon was, and it was burning hot.
"I'm boiling up," said Lucy in concern. Natsu looked at her and sighed.
"Kind of your fault for going," said Natsu.
"MY FAULT," asked Lucy. "Don't be ridiculous for my sake!" Natsu just laughed as he continued on. As they kept walking, Lucy begin to pant really hard. Natsu looked at her and came to her.
"Hey, hey Lucy, what's wrong," he asked in worry. Lucy just panted and couldn't say a word. She fell forward but Natsu caught her in time. Natsu put her on his back as Happy hung on as well. He kept walking and kept eating the lava.
"Happy," said Natsu. "Can you fly us up?"
"I can't carry two people," replied Happy as he hung on. They kept on going, and Natsu really wanted to ask Lucy to marry him but he was too scared to. He kept on going and going. Then they made it to the dragon cave entrance. He laid Lucy down.
"Lucy! Lucy," he cried. Lucy woke up and saw Natsu and Happy.
"Natsu, why are you shouting," she asked in concern.
"You've been out for an hour and I got worried," said Natsu. Lucy blushed and nodded as she got up. They went inside of the dragon cave. Soon a fire attack was launched at them.
"LUCY," said Natsu as he got her out of the way and ate the fire. "Man this fire tastes awful! But now I'm fired up." The dragon came out It looked like a dark version of Igneel.
"Get out," said Dark Igneel as he fired again. Natsu ate his fire.
"Why do you look like Igneel," asked Happy.
"I'm his dark brother," he replied. "OUT OF MY CAVE!" He fired at Lucy and happy. Lucy screamed for help and Natsu came immediately to block. He fired it back. Lucy got up, and got one of her keys. Natsu stopped her.
"He's mine," said Natsu. "I won't let him smear Igneel's name and appearance! He's a disgrace! FIRE DRAGON ROAR!" It affected Dark igneel but he was still standing.
"Pathetic," he replied as he ate Natsu's fire and fired it back. Lucy couldn't stand it anymore and got one of her keys.
"Open gate of the water bearer," she said. "Aquarius!" The attitude mermaid came out in a bad mood.
"WHY DID YOU CALL ME THIS TIME," she shouted in anger.
"Beat up this dragon Aquarius," said Lucy. Aquarius sighed, and got her water jug and launched a water attack at the dragon.
"Call me again, and you're dead," said Aquarius.
"Yes mam," said Lucy as Aquarius disappeared. Dark Igneel was weak from the water attack.
"HOW DARE YOU," said Dark Igneel as he attacked again. It hit Lucy and Lucy fell off the cliff.
"LUCY," said Natsu as he jumped down and got her and fired his feet back up. Lucy was severely wounded.
"You'll pay for hurting my girlfriend you piece of junk," said Natsu. He laid Lucy down and attacked again.
"FIRE DRAGON WING ATTACK," said Natsu in anger. Dark Igneel laughed as he dodged and bit Natsu really hard in the shoulder. Natsu cried in pain as blood dripped from his shoulder.
"NATSU," cried Lucy. Natsu saw how terrified Lucy was when she saw this. Natsu got free and was on his knees. Lucy cried as she hugged him and didn't let go.
"Lucy, you need to let go of me," said Natsu. "I'll finish this dumb no good want to be dragon off."
"I can't watch this any more," said Lucy as she grabs one of her keys. She grabbed Aquarius' key and she knew that she was going to get yelled at. She looked at Natsu's wound and she got in front of him. She spun her key as water was near by.
"Open, gate of the water bearer," she said as she unlocked the door. "Aquarius!" Natsu sighed as he stayed down.
"WHY DID YOU CALL ME AGAIN," shouted Aquarius. "I'm trying to have a date with Scorpio and here you are, summoning me because you need me! Pathetic." Natsu got really mad at Aquarius and he got up.
"You don't talk to Lucy like that," shouted Natsu as he held onto her.
"Excuse me," asked Aquarius. Dark Igneel sighed as he attacked. Aquarius got out of the way and Natsu grabbed Lucy and Happy.
"Please help me," said Lucy. "The only way to defeat fire is with water."
"You better do of what she says or I'll deal with you," roared Natsu. Aquarius has never been bossed by Natsu.
"Alright fine," she said disgusted. She grabbed her jug and launched water typhoons at Dark Igneel. Dark Igneel was soaked and Aquarius left.
"How dare she," roared Dark Igneel and looked at Lucy, Natsu, and Happy. "YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!" He launched an attack but Natsu ate his fire.
"Never touch my girlfriend or Happy again," said Natsu as he put her down. "You made a big mistake of aiming for her! You'll pay!"
"NATSU," said Lucy and Happy. Lucy got up and held Natsu's hand. Natsu blushed as he knew together, they would defeat this imposter. Natsu was mad at him for smearing Igneel's name. Natsu nodded as Lucy got her key for Loke, or Leo the Lion. She spun her key and unlocked Leo's gate.
"RRROOOAAARRRRR," roared Leo as he got his hair in style. "So how is my princess?"
"Loke, this isn't the time to be messing around," said Lucy. "Attack!"
"Right, Lion Impact," said Leo as he attacked again. "Got to go Princess." Leo went and Dark Igneel was weak. Lucy was drained of her magic.
"I'll end this," said Natsu. "FIRE DRAGON ROAR." Fire was attacked and Lucy was able to call Taurus.
"Ooooohhh, that lady figure is driving me up the wall," said Taurus trying to be flirty. Happy and Lucy sighed.
"Get the dragon Taurus," said Lucy. Taurus swung his mighty ax and killed Dark Igneel. Then Taurus went back to his world. Lucy has passed out and Natsu looked at her.
"LUCY," said Natsu and Happy together in worry. Lucy didn't respond and Natsu held her in his arms. They took her back to the guild for medic. She laid in bed and Natsu and Lucy waited for her to wake up. She had critical magic loss and Natsu had the dragon ring ready. The next morning, Lucy woke up and saw Natsu asleep on her lap and so was Happy. She smiled and pet his pink hair. Natsu then woke up and saw Lucy.
"Lucy," said Natsu as he hugged her gently. "I thought I lost you!"
"Oh don't worry Natsu," said Lucy. "I'm fine." Days passed and Lucy was completely healed. Natsu, Happy and Lucy were hanging out and Natsu knew he wanted to ask. They were at her apartment.
"Lucy," said Natsu.
"What's up Natsu," asked Lucy as she sat on her bed. Natsu kneeled down and sucked up his nervousness.
"Lucy ever since I met you, I always had a friendship for you. Yes I was dumb, and a showoff and I had bad dragon days. Probably it was because it's the fire that upset my tummy," said Natsu and Lucy was confused as she listened. "But would you give me the honor, of frightening you everyday...For the rest of your life. Lucy, I couldn't have a world without you in it." Lucy started to blush as Natsu took her hand and continued.
"Lucy Heartfilia," said Natsu. "I promise to protect you as your dragon slayer, and companion for the rest of our days together." He gets out his dragon ring in a beautiful box with Lucy's name carved in it. Lucy was blushing so much.
"Lucy, will do the honors of becoming my Celestial Wizard wife," asked Natsu. "Will you marry me?" Lucy cried and nodded as Natsu put her dragon ring on.
"Yes! Yes! YES I WILL," said Lucy as she pulled him in and kissed him.
"I LOVE YOU NATSU DRAGNIL," said Lucy.
"I LOVE YOU LUCY HEARTFILIA DRAGNIL," said Natsu.
"What a happily ever after," said Happy.
