Shattered
Hermione Granger stood on the edge of the North Tower. No one believed her that she had been raped. They called her an attention seeking witch since Harry Potter was known for his defeat of You-Know-Who. The professors turned her away when she told them her rapist was none other then Harry Potter and Ron Weasely, her two best friends. The war had changed them and they all turned a blind eye.
Professor Severus Snape stood in the shadows of the tower watching the woman in front of him. He was the only one that believed her story. He had seen the change in Potter and Weasely. He had tried to convince the other professors but they turned him away as well.
"I can't go on Professor Snape." whispered Hermione, who saw her Potions Professor walk up to her. "It's the same every Saturday at ten."
"I won't try to stop you end the pain. But listen to me. I know how you feel." said Severus. "I've been there and it's not easy." he told her.
Hermione turned her head and looked at the man with tears in her eyes. "You do?" she whispered.
"Just give me your hand Hermione." said Severus holding out his hand. "Let me help you."
She shook her head. "No they'll come after me, and the others won't stop it."
"Then I'll take you away from here. I can't bare to see you in pain."
"Why do you care about me? I'm a shattered woman. A barren woman. I can give you nothing." said Hermione.
"Please. You can give all I need. We can end each others pain. We're both shattered." said Severus and got up on the edge next to her. "If you jump I'll jump."
"Why?" asked Hermione puzzled.
"Because I love you that's why." he told her every single mask gone. "Let us leave and start some place new. But you must come down from here."
Hermione nodded and she got down from the ledge followed by Severus. They left Hogwarts without a goodbye or their belongs. They left to start a new and in hope to heal their shattered hearts.
