What Really Happened Before Harry Found Ron & Herm @ the Yule Ball
*I hope you like this...*
Ron sat stiffly in the Gyffindor tower common room, waiting for Hermione so that he could chew her out.
It was Christmas on their fourth year at Hogwarts, and Ron had just said a quick goodbye to his date for the Yule Ball, then rushed back to the tower to wait for Hermione.
He was angry with her for a number of different reasons, but the main one was her date for the ball, Durmstrang Champion and First Class International Bulgarian Seeker, Viktor Krum, who was seventeen.
Ron remembers the red he saw when he saw them together...
Actually, he had seen Hermione alone first, who didn't even look like herself...stunning in those amazing baby blue robes...
He got a dreamy look on his face, then shook it.
He was thinking of Hermione! His friend! And, he was only mad at her because she had been (he gulped) and still was, fraternizing with the enemy.
Ron began to sweat as he thought of them together.
It was giving him a serious headache.
Just then, Hermione climbed through the portrait hole, glowing excitedly.
She smiled smally at him, tentative, for they had already had a squabble earlier.
Ron kept a stony face, hating to see her so happy from Krum.
Hermione's smile vanished.
"You're jealous, aren't you?" she pointed an accusing finger at him.
Ron's eyebrows raised and went brick red.
"Jealous? Of what?"
"Oh, don't act so innocent!"
"Well, you shouldn't be going out with the enemy! The enemy, Hermione!" he shouted.
"Well, if you don't like it, you know what the solution is don't you?" she yelled back angrily.
"Oh, yeah? What's that?"
"Next time there's a ball, ask me before anyone else does, and not as a last resort!" she said, and stormed up to her dormitory.
Ron stood openmouthed, then noticed that Harry had entered the room.
"Well," he spluttered, "well, that just proves- totally missed the point..."
Harry eyed him cautiously, then, without saying a word, walked up to their dorm.
What was wrong with everybody tonight?
