"Last night, IASA tracked a space craft which exited the wormhole and touched down on the moon. Less than an hour later, it re-entered the wormhole, after which, all readings from the anomaly ceased.
Last night, my son called me from Serenity Base. He told me that a war is starting out there. A war headed straight for Earth. He said he was going to do the only thing he could, to keep all of us safe. He closed the wormhole. I know a lot of people are going to say he did it to cut us off, to hold us back. But I want you to remember this; John is out there. In the middle of a war. With no way home.
Last night I told John that a parent's greatest hope was for our children to surpass us. I told John he had succeeded, that I could not have been prouder of him. I can only hope that we, as the children of Earth, will one day surpass our parent, that one day, be it tomorrow, or in a hundred years, our own children will be just as proud of us."
