On My Way

Aaren is a normal teenage girl- or so it seems. Aaren is actually a avian human hybrid, and she's escaped from the place she was created, and they want her back.

And then it emerged. I saw its eyes staring into my very soul and realized that it was about to kill me. I backed away slowly, trying not to make any sudden movements

Snap!

A stick broke beneath my foot, causing me to stumble and fall backwards onto the forest ground. It suddenly lunged towards me, its teeth bared and ready to fight. i quickly rolled out of the way, but not fast enough. It's teeth skimmed my arm, causing an immediate burst of pain. I tried to stand, but my injured leg collapsed below me.

It advanced towards me, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. I could see it's rear legs tensing, it's eyes focusing on me.

Then, the last thing I could see was it's face changing from a wolf into a human before my head snapped to the side.
