"Uncle, why?" Zuko asked, He had just found out what Iroh had done to classify himself a traitor from Azula.
Iroh turned to face Zuko. He wore a pained expression.
But Zuko didn't notice. He was busy being upset. It doesn't make sense to Zuko. He didn't like Zhao either, but even with his impulsiveness he knew there is a time and place for everything. And to attack him and while Fire Nation soldiers were present outside of an Agni Kai, while at the North Pole surrounded by armed Water Tribesmen, it didn't seem like the logical time or place.
"Why did you ruin your life here?' Zuko asked. "The Fire Nation is your home, your country. If grandfather hadn't changed his will, you would have been its leader."
Iroh sighed. Lately Zuko seemed to only have a one-track mind. Since his banishment he was obsessed with regaining his honor, now that he had it back, it was obsessed with ensuring that he never lost it again. Iroh understood that Zuko was upset with him only because he cared about his well-being, but he wished his nephew understood that there were things more important than honor.
"It would have been a bigger mistake not to do what I did," Iroh replied quietly.
Zuko frowned. He never understood his uncle.
