PROLOGUE
The lower city of Coruscant was murky and vile. Scum from all across the galaxy walked the streets. Gangs feuded daily, killing each other. One would think that this all would clear up after the rise of the Empire, but nothing has changed. A patrol of five stormtroopers, led by an officer, marched by all in step. The rebels waited for the patrol to step in front of an apartment. A spy had informed the band of rebels that there would be a raid in this apartment, and they weren't going to let it happen. The Imperial officer banged on the door.
"Open this door immediately!" shouted the officer. "By decree of the Empire, you are to open this door!"
He waited a few seconds, then signaled for a stormtrooper to kick the door in. They had fallen right into the rebel's trap. The stormtrooper kicked the door open. He was greeted by a concussion grenade, which knocked him off his feet. The rebels came out of their hiding spots and circled the Imperials.
"Drop your weapons!" said the leader of this group of rebels.
The Imperials dropped their weapons and put their hands up.
"You rebel scum!" said the officer as he spit at a rebel.
The rebel walked up to the officer and kicked him in the gut.
"Who gave you the damn order to raid this house?" asked the rebel.
"Jorn, calm down!" said the rebel leader.
"No, I want answers!" said Jorn. "Who gave you the order!"
The officer lookd up at Jorn. Jorn was looking the officer dead in the eyes. The officer was frightened by his yellow eyes. His face was covered in fur.
"Oh, a Cathar, are you?" asked the officer.
"Yes, now answered my damn question!"
"Fine fine, said the officer "Somebody reported that the residents of this apartment were aiding the rebels. "I gave the order immediately after I heard about it."
"These are good people!" said Jorn. "They have done nothing to help us! They are innocent. I'm friends with them, but they don't know I'm a rebel!"
Jorn kicked the officer again, knocking him to the ground.
"Jorn, that's enough!" yelled the rebel leader.
"Yes sir..." responded Jorn reluctantly.
"Get these Imperials into the apartment," said the leader. "Thank you Jorn for helping them move in with a friend. We will hold the Imperials here for now."
"Yes sir," said the rebels simultaneously.
The walked the Imperials inside. The rebels entered, but Jorn stood behind.
"What are you doing Jorn?" asked the leader.
"I need distance from them," said Jorn.
"Why?" asked the leader.
"Because Zan, I won't be able to stop myself from shooting that officer," said Jorn. "He would have gone in there and killed my family, had we not helped them escape."
"Then go back to the hideout and wait for us to return," said Zan. "And stay hidden."
"Alright," said Jorn. He turned and walked away, murmuring to himself.
