As Lavik looked at all four eyes at the world before him, seeing its beautiful terran, he wondered if it's inhabitants noticed his vessel hitting the atmosphere. They certainly seemed advanced. It was interesting that they were planet bound none the less.

As Lavik entered the atmosphere of this world, 10 reapers came out of FTL in orbit, and prepared to fire. They would never get the chance to.

*CNN reporting to you live from New New York*

A handsome young man was standing in front of the UN building, informing the world of truely grave news. had Lavik been watching at that point and known the language, he would have assumed they were talking about the reapers. The truth was far more grave. The reapers merely destroyed civilizations. What would happen would do worse. "All attempts by the UN emergency team have failed to stabilize or make contact with the Fields since the patheays closed Two centuries ago. ALCH-." He never got to finish those words.

Lavik watched as explosions started to consume the world below him, starting everywhere, from his ship, to the world's moon, to the relay, to the star, to the reapers, and though he did not know it, the entire cluster. It tore reality asunder. It was not meant to withstand entire dimensions being destroyed. Time, Space, these no longer existed here, and would not for a long time. The Reapers had been unlucky, having been in a small band where anything would be completely destroyed, leaving only dust. And so, by accident, the reapers insured another world was cleansed...they thought.

Orion Anomaly
The Orion Anomaly is a region of the galaxy where all laws of physics cease to exist. It was discovered by accident during the Ranchi Wars, and was discovered to be the reason for many disappearances, solving the Orion Arm Triangle legend. the region had been determined to have entered the state around the same time as the Protheans went extinct. It is attributed by many as the reason they went extinct. The Hanar have many a time requested permission to explore it.
Only 1 out of every 2000 missions to explore it have survived, with only 1 out of every 2000 crew members left sane by the mission. It appears time flows much faster, as missions have always returned centuries later, though to the explorers, only months have passed. It appears to have varable geometry. Sometimes they report a flat plane, dead. they always nearly die from a unknown gas. Sometimes they report that it appeared as one would expect...just as dead however. Those two kinds of missions which reported this typically always succeed and never resulted in insane crew members, but it is extremely rare for this outcome to occur. Sometimes...crazier things occur. Information on such outcomes are classified. It has yet to subside, though it appears that timeflow has recently begun to approach normal levels, the two safest outcomes are more and more common, and ore and more samples of the gas taken.
