Daystar darkness
As he stood over the Ordona spring he looked into his reflection, Link wondered why his adventure is over. To look into the abyss and for what? All just to find nothing. What was his purpose now? Was Midna gone? Or is this all just an illusion... He took a moment to look into the sky. The sky just reminded him of the one thing he should of said to her: "goodbye".
Even he knew it was destiny for them to split, but deep inside, it hurt him. The thought that he would never see her again. As he was going home he stopped to see the Master Sword one more time as a reminder of his adventure. As he ventured through the vast green meadow, he could hear the song of the grove.
Upon him was the massive ruins of the once magnificent temple. He looked at the massive structures which guarded the ancient sleeping blade. "How could the ancient Hylians have crafted these?" he thought. He felt cold and alone knowing she was not there. As he walked up to the sword's pedestal, a quiet, chilly wind blew. He reached for the hilt. It too felt cold. A single tear fell and landed on the blade. He was crying tears of regret.
"I should of told her I love her." he quietly said. As he slowly walked away, the spirit of the old hero was seen of in the distance. "Find the spirit of darkness if you wish to be with the one you love." was heard from the spirit.
Link slowly walked back to Faron Woods while thinking of what the spirit said. Maybe there was truly a way. But what did it mean? When he got back, the village was still and peaceful. He climbed up the oak ladder to his front door. He got into bed and slept on it.
