The campers we're sitting down eating dinner when a smoke boomed in front of the tables. When it cleared, it revealed Aphrodite grinning and Apollo slightly smirking. They we're on top of the stage that had a microphone and a sign that said 'HALF-BLOOD KAROKE'. Seeing the sign, some campers groaned.

"I guess you can all see why we're here," Apollo said.

"Tonight is Karaoke night!" Aphrodite exclaimed clasping her hands in joy.

"Which means each of you will have to sing! Like it or not," Apollo announced. Another round of groans we're heard.

"Of course we choose the songs and it will be about everyone's favorite subject: LOVE!" Aphrodite said twirling.

"Tonight starting the Karaoke fiasco is none other than the son of Hades, Nico di Angelo!"

Everyone turned to the Hades tables, where Nico was muttering some curse words and Hazel was trying not to smile. Nico walked up on stage.

"What do I have to sing?" Nico said putting his hands in his pockets.

"Lightning by Alex Goot. It fit your feelings for a certain huntress," Aphrodite giggled as all the hunters looked towards Nico glaring.

"Did I ever tell you how you're my least favorite god?" Nico hissed to Aphrodite. She just pushed him to the microphone.

Taking the microphone he began singing it. As he was singing, he realized how much the song reminded him of his love for a certain huntress: Thalia Grace.

•Flashback•

"Leave me alone di Angelo!" Thalia hissed as she trudged through the woods behind her Nico who was annoying her to death..

"Oh come on Thalie. You know you love my company," Nico teased. Thalia turned around and stabbed her finger on his chest.

"Nico," she growled her electric blue eyes staring into his as he smirked, "I'm warning you."

"Or what? I can control the dead you know," he grinned sheepishly.

"I can shock you with lightning."

"I can summon the dead."

"Why do you always follow me?"

"Because it annoys you and I love annoying you."

"Look Nico, just buzz off! Okay?!"

"Why did you join the hunters? I know it isn't only because of the prophecy," he pressed. Next thing he knew, he was clutching his cheek in pain.

"Leave me alone! Okay?! Why do you think I did it?! Because of Luke! I loved him and now he's gone!" Thalia shouted nearly in tears.

What Nico did next, surprised Thalia. He slammed his lips onto hers. She froze for a few seconds stunned. Someone likes her other than Luke who betrayed her and liked Annabeth instead? But she was a hunter. It was too late. She pushed him away and ran off.

Nico chased after her, but he couldn't catch her.

It was hard to catch lightning.

Nico finished the song. Everyone clapped, including Aphrodite and Apollo. Nico walked off the stage awkwardly and sat in his seat beside Hazel.

Aphrodite and Apollo clapped.

"You have a good voice di Angelo," Apollo commented, "unlike your father. He use to make me hate music when he sang."

Everyone laughed. Aphrodite cleared her throat and spoke.

"Next singer is my star daughter, give it up for Piper McLean!"

'Oh no,' Piper moaned, 'why does Mum hate me so much?'
