A/N: Sooo... I made this for English. It was inspired by the story of Nagato.
Blue
Home is where the heart is?
Ha! Don't make me laugh.
What if you have no heart?
You have no second half?
But these are merely words,
The thoughts of those embittered,
And I am saddened to admit
I found you after you had withered.
Back against the sodden ground,
Clothes drenched with mud and sweat.
Next to him are two dirt mounds.
With his friends he shall rest.
He was a broken, broken boy,
So lonely it's unfair.
But even in the midst of war
He found happiness there.
His parents dead,
His dog had fled,
And left him there to cry.
But a new family's found
So home they bound,
The tears had long turned dry.
Three children who were all the same
Formed a home just for themselves.
They swore to end the blood-like rain,
For peace and no tears they delved.
But once again
The war prevailed
And protection of his friends had failed.
He pines for home,
Secretly seething,
As for him that word has no meaning.
Unseeing eyes stare at the sky,
Its tears collecting on his pale skin.
But they do not slip, cause he will try
To uphold his promise to all of them.
The rain has halted,
The clouds have cleared
and because they're all gone;
Their fight has been lost
And the boy has won,
Peace for his battered nation.
For never again
Will the sky rain
Tears of their crimson blood.
Home is where the heart is?
Well, I guess for some that's true.
But the rain I do not miss
For I finally see blue.
