Meddling with Dragons (the crack version)
A/N: And then there is the situation that initially popped into my head when I wondered what would happen if Hiei used Kokuryuha on Kurama. It deserved it's own chapter. Please note that I am aware this is horrible writing as I couldn't take myself the least bit seriously while I wrote it or I would spontaneously combust. That being said, I give you fair warning:
Be afraid, be very afraid.
Oh, and I still don't own them.
"Dragon of the Darkness Flame!"
"Hiei!"
"Kurama!"
Yusuke and Kurabara shouted in horror as Hiei's dragon screamed down on Kurama who stood, eyes wide, not even attempting to get away. The dragon hit, engulfing Kurama in a pillar of black fire. Yusuke and Kuwabara stood frozen with shock with the rest of the crowd as Hiei swayed then went to his knees on the stadium floor, staring white-faced at the black pyre where his former teammate had been.
"I, I don't believe it," Yusuke gripped the railing in front of him so tightly he dented the metal. "I mean, I was always curious what a real fight between them would be like, but I never thought… how could he? Kurama…"
Kuwabara nodded, then frowned down at the stadium floor. "Hey, Urameshi, doesn't Hiei's attack usually disappear once it hits? Why's it still in the ring?"
Yusuke blinked and actually looked at the fire still burning merrily where Kurama had stood. "Ya know, that's a pretty good question…"
They both stared at the remains of the dragon as it bulged and twisted around itself, then, "Is that a chimney?"
Instead of a pyre, there was now a charming little cottage made of black flames sitting in the ring. After a moment or two of stunned silence, a door opened in the side facing Hiei and Kurama stepped out, completely unscathed. Yusuke and Kuwabara gaped at him as he walked over to Hiei. He stopped in front of the white-faced fire demon and raised one eyebrow.
"Hiei. You wouldn't happen to know why your dragon turned into a two person cottage with a single bed when it hit me, would you?"
Up in the stands Yusuke collapsed in his seat with relief, then started to snicker. "Mukuro said… she said the dragon was subject to the intent of its wielder…" he trailed off, cackling madly.
It was widely concluded, judging by the burning crimson color of his face, that Hiei was never so happy to pass out from exhaustion as he was at that moment. It was also concluded, as Kurama picked him up and disappeared from view, that Kurama really didn't mind the situation at all.
A/N: Well, that be all. I hope you enjoyed both versions. Please leave a review and feed the author!
