"Alistair! Alistair!"
He could definitely hear her calling his name. But now was no time to listen. The archdemon had to be slain. In moments he could complete that task. He would be remembered through out Ferelden as a brave King, even if his reign was so brief.
"Alistair!"
Her voice was definitely getting closer, it was now or never… He was ready… then darkness flashed before his eyes.
"NO!" His voice came out a high pitched wail, and he spun about. Elissa was stood directly behind him, a plug swinging in her hand.
"I've been calling you for ten minutes. We're supposed to be meeting the rest of the guys at the cinema in ten minutes."
"But... but…" he looked crest fallen. He'd been so close. When had he last saved. He couldn't remember.
"I'll make it up to you later," Elissa purred stroking his cheek gently before kissing him. "Now come on before we miss the film."
All he could do was give her his most winning smile. "That's why I love you. Always the practical one."
