"Come now, Love. What's wrong?" Crowley asked, kneeling in front of his queen. Haven looked at him as she rubbed her rounded belly gently.
"I haven't seen them in so long. They think I'm dead. How are they going to act when I suddenly show up, pregnant and the Queen of Hell?" she said quietly. Tears started to slide down her cheeks.
"Hey, hey, hey. None of that," he said, wiping the tears away. "Moose and Squirrel will be happy to see you." The King of Hell wasn't really the caring type but Haven had brought that out in him. Especially since she'd been pregnant. His normally tough, battle-roughened hunter had been reduced to a hormonal mess.
"Sorry," she mumbled. She hated that she cried so much anymore. The pregnancy hormones had hit her hard.
"Darling, I have been with you for eight months with this. You do not have to apologize," the King told her. His hands moved over her belly, feeling a soft kick against his palm. "There's the little prince." Haven smiled as she watched Crowley caress her belly. Crowley's first son may have had a bad relationship with the King but Haven was sure it would be better this time. She gently ran a hand through his short hair.
"Everything will go better this time," she promised. Crowley kissed her belly.
"Of course, Love. Are you ready?" he asked. She took a deep breath and nodded. Crowley stood and pulled Haven up from their bed. She blinked and they were standing in an alley. She looked at the end and saw the familiar shape of the Impala. The King took Haven's hand as they walked toward the Winchesters. Sam and Dean, who had been leaning leaning against the car, bolted upright when they saw Haven.
"What the hell kind of game are you trying to play?" Dean growled. Crowley wrapped a protective arm around his Queen.
"No games, boys. Haven has been with me as my queen for almost a year. And as you can see, we have a little one on the way. So I'd keep the violence to a minimum," he replied. He placed a hand over his Queen's protruding belly.
"Hey, guys," Haven said nervously. "I'm not a demon in case you're wondering." The Winchesters looked at her for a moment before they wrapped her in a hug. Crowley released her and stepped back. Tears filled her eyes as she hugged the men who were like her brothers.
"You could have told us," Sam whispered. "We don't like it but it's better than thinking you were dead."
"Damn, we've missed you," Dean added. Haven buried her face in their shoulders and cried.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't think it'd be a good idea to tell you I was willingly becoming the Queen of Hell," she sobbed. The Winchester looked at each other worriedly, never having seen her cry like that.
"Pregnancy hormones, boys. She'll be back to her tough, emotionally distant self soon," Crowley said. He smiled as she glared at him. Haven stepped back and wiped her tears.
"You better not keep her away from us," Dean growled at the King of Hell. She laughed.
"Duncan and I will be able to visit a lot once he's born. Right, Crowley?" she said. She gently rubbed her belly.
"Duncan's a good name," Sam said with a smile.
"Well, it's time for us to go. It's not good for her to travel too much. My Queen needs to get some rest," Crowley told them. He wrapped an arm around Haven.
"I know it wasn't long but we'll come visit once Duncan is born. I promise," she told them.
"Good. We'll see you soon. Love you, kiddo," Dean said, kissing her forehead. She beamed.
"Take care of yourself," Sam added. She hugged them both once more, happy that she'd gotten to see her family. She looked at Crowley and took his hand.
"Let's go home."
