There are times where you want to disappear, and there are times where, no matter what the circumstance is, you want to be there. This moment that I'm in now, being held in a hot guy's arms, is a moment I want to disappear from. Now some people may ask why I want to disappear because, well, he's a really nice, sexy guy. People would probably call me crazy because if they had been in that position, they would probably want to stay forever. Especially when he smells like heaven.

She craned her head up, looking up at his chiseled jaw, his sinfully long eyelashes, and beautiful lips. It was too bad his eyes were closed so she couldn't see his beautiful eyes. Sighing, she brought her head back down to his chest.

"Will you let me go?" she asked.

"..."

"I promise I'll come back. It's not going to be that bad of a mission," she reassured him.

He still didn't let her go. She nuzzled his chest slightly with her nose. His left hand tightened, right hand coming up to press her head even closer to his chest.

"You know how I do things. Don't worry," she whispered.

Some of you may be confused with this situation.

She is Mikan Sakura Yukihira. At 5 foot 2 inches, and 17 years old, she may look like a middle schooler but looks can be extremely deceiving. Don't ever believe in appearances. It's what she lives by. Never let your guard down.

It was the morning of her first day of school since Elementary school.

"Hey! You dumbass! Wake the hell up!" Mikan was shaken awake by her dumb butt of a brother, Tsubasa. Groaning, she opened her eyes blearily.

"What do you want, bro?" she murmured, still half-asleep. He sighed in exasperation.

"You need to go to school, squirt. It's about 6:10 in the morning. You're gonna be late for your first day…" His voice faded as he walked downstairs to the table.

She threw off the covers and stretched her arms over her head. Quickly washing her face, she glanced at the school uniform and scoffed at the all-too-familiar design. After running a brush through her slightly wavy hair, she pushed in her four restraining earrings, clasped a restraining necklace around her neck and pushed a bracelet around her wrist and a bangle on her upper arm. The last piece was a small pinky ring in the shape of a dragon. All the jewelry looked normal enough to other people. Glancing in the mirror, she grimaced at how posh the uniform made her look. She took the ribbon off the collar and unbuttoned the top button of the blouse. Instead of the knee-high boots, she opted for her own ankle socks and her comfortable black combat boots. She nodded her head at the mirror and threw open the bedroom door.

The weather outside wasn't that warm but it wasn't cold enough for a jacket to be needed. She grabbed a bagel from the food set up on the kitchen table. Looking at the clock, she grabbed her keys and her bag, put her sunglasses on, and threw the door open.

"Nii-chan (Big Brother)! I'm going now!" A faint reply came back in return to her call.

"Yeah! Have fun and don't cause trouble!"

She snorted, slammed the door and unlocked her car, a brand-new red Audi. Revving the engine, she backed out of the driveway.

As she was driving, the neighborhoods flashed by her windows, giving me small glimpses of the houses and roads. Soon, she reached the gates of the Academy. She grimaced, memories flickering in her mind, and braced herself for the opening of the gates.

I really hate this stupid school, she thought. While there was too much evidence of the "rich kids' school" kind of vibe, there was always an odd feeling in the air that she hated. It always gave her chills to walk on the school grounds, especially after what she had seen and experienced here.

After the security let her in, she drove into the high school division. Driving around to the buildings, she parked her car in one of the best spaces, right in front of the doors. As soon she stepped out of the car, she heard a scream behind me.

"That bitch! She's parked her dirty, filthy ass-of-a-car on our Prince's spot!"

She turned around to see a girl dressed in an outfit that was clearly not the school uniform. Her skirt looked like it didn't even reach the bottom of her ass and basically flashed anyone behind her. The tube top wasn't too bad; if she had tried to style the outfit with a longer skirt, it would've looked fashionable. Problem was, she had chosen to put on the tube top to cover just her upper half and the skirt was too tiny. Everything else was all out. Hilariously, there was even a hint of flab sticking out from the top of her skirt.

To be honest, she would've been pretty if she worked out a bit more and wore less revealing clothing. Surprisingly, she wasn't wearing any makeup except for a bit of concealer on some terribly black spots that were poking out their edges from underneath the small layers of formula. Her hair was a strawberry blond and cut in a way that was supposed to look cute on her but failed miserably. Mikan looked into the other girl's eyes, which were glaring daggers.

"Who are you? I've never seen you around before," she asked sassily. Mikan smirked and raised one slender, brown eyebrow, as if to suggest, "who are YOU to ask me that".

"Oh don't mind me," she said indifferently. "I'm just another student here."

The girl backed away from the strange new kid with a confused look on her face, the other girls behind her glancing at their leader with uncertainty. Luna Koizumi, the Queen Bee (with emphasis on the B for bîtch), was certain that her beauty and her clear dominance was a surefire way to get someone to obey her but this new girl was an anomaly.

"Don't you know who I am?" she shrieked.

"Agh!" Mikan covered her ears with her hands. "Geez! Don't go blasting my eardrums out like a frickin grenade. It's only 5 minutes into my school year and I'm already surrounded by barking seals." She winced, rubbing her poor aching ears.

The students walking by giggled under their breaths. They knew if they showed any reaction that the Queen Bee did not like, they would be ruined forever. After all, everyone knew she has the Soul-Sucking Alice and could control anyone just with a touch.

Mikan turned around, uninterested and grabbed her bag from the back seat of her car. Hearing footsteps getting nearer, she looked up again. The skank squad was still there, their leader waiting with crossed arms and a frown on her face.

"Tell me who you are, or else-"

Mikan's expression darkened slightly at the threatening words. She hadn't wanted to show her strength just yet as it hadn't even been an hour since she arrived, but this girl was getting on her nerves. She walked straight up to her, her face close enough to see the pores on Luna's nose.

"Or what?" she softly murmured.

Whatever Luna saw in Mikan's eyes was enough to make her back off, fear written all over her face. She grabbed the arms of her lackeys and turned around. Mikan smirked and adjusted her bag against her shoulder.

"Wow..." A new voice.

She froze for half a second. That voice… she thought, memories flashing past her eyes. I know this voice. A sakura tree. Twinkling lights. A cat-shaped mask. She gasped quietly.

"Where have you been my whole life?" The husky, deep voice reverberated next to her ear, warm air fanning over her neck.

Out of instinct, she immediately grabbed the person's arm and flipped him over her shoulder. The guy, as she figured out from the voice, groaned at the impact on the concrete. She blinked twice and realized what she had just done.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! Are you alright?" Mikan rushed over to the person's side and offered a hand to him. He looked up through raven-colored bangs. She jolted her hand back, as if she had been electrocuted.

Why? Well…

It was because of his eyes, so familiar yet so strange, crimson red and flickering as if flames were alive in those irises, staring into her soul, capable of pulling out her darkest, deepest secrets without a second thought. She shivered inwardly. He raised an eyebrow at her hand which was pulled back near her side. Snapping out of her trance, she jerked her hand back to his face. Those infernal eyes twinkled with a tiny spark of amusement.

"Well, thanks for the hand, but I don't really need one because I've already got two right here," he smirked, wiggling his fingers at her. She rolled her eyes at his joke and kept her hand in the exact same position. He took it and she hauled him up to his feet. His eyes stayed on hers the entire time even though she had sunglasses on and he couldn't possibly see her own eyes.

"What's your name, Miss?" he asked, reaching a hand out and grabbing a strand of her hair. To her surprise, he kissed it.

Great… Of course he would turn out this way, she grimaced inwardly. What can you expect from someone who's been treated as an idol his whole life.

He continued, bringing his finger underneath her chin. "I'll make sure a reward for helping the Prince of this school is sent to-" Her gaze hardened.

"Look, asshole," she interrupted, slapping his hand away. "I don't want your money or anything else you can offer. Alright? It's my fault I didn't realize you were the so-called Prince of Alice Academy but I didn't know how much you deserve to have your ass thrown down onto the ground," she sneered and put her sunglasses on top of her head.

When Natsume saw Mikan's eyes, he couldn't suppress a tiny flinch. Her eyes were churning with such a profound disgust that he almost felt like a worm under her gaze but impressively, he held his ground.

"I should never have helped you up. If I'd realized how different you are-" she stopped abruptly. Natsume, on the other hand, was extremely confused. What was this girl talking about? Did they know each other?

Do I want to reveal my connection so soon? Mikan thought. No… Definitely not. It's too soon. Shaking her head, she walked off into the building, shoulders back, head held high, and yet, feet heavy on the pavement. She walked up the stairs, her sunglasses back on her eyes to avoid the probing gazes of the other students.

As Mikan was waiting for the principal, she glanced through the second floor window of the waiting room for guests. Little did those punks know, she had a clear view of them even though she was on the second floor. She could also hear perfectly as if she was standing next to the scene happening below, thanks to her Alices: Nullification and Steal/Erase/Insert. She had inserted multiple Alices and made sure she had ample amounts of Alice stones in storage in anticipation of the start of her school year at Alice Academy. She had access to many many Alices, thanks to the Alice stones she had put in her body, some of them being Levitation, Long-Distance Hearing, and Teleportation.

"What just happened, Natsume?!" A blonde teenager came jogging down the road, a cute white bunny hanging from his shoulder as his hands pumped at his sides. "I just saw a girl help you up and then went walking off after she slapped your hand away." He glanced at the flabbergasted boy, who was slightly open-mouthed and staring at the doorway in which the girl had gone. At that point, Luna had returned because after running off with her tail tucked between her legs, she knew she had to reassert her dominance over her Prince.

"She was such a rude girl. Right, baby?" The strawberry-blonde girl wrapped her arms around his waist. She glared in the direction of the school, staking her claim. "Ruka-kun, you should steer Nattie-darling away from her. She won't be bothering my Prince any longer." Natsume shut his mouth and shifted his attention to the girl wrapped around him. He grimaced and pushed her away.

"Don't touch me so familiarly, Koizumi," he said, disgusted. "And don't think that you're my girlfriend or anything because you're not." He coldly turned away from the distraught girl. "Now go away and leave me and Ruka alone."

Luna's eyes widened. It was the first time he had ever turned her away so coldly. He'd brushed her off before but never like this... She burst into tears and started bawling on the sidewalk. Once in a while she looked up to see if he was looking back at her but all she saw was his back getting farther and farther away towards the front doors.

Mikan looked towards the path to the blooming sakura tree next to the school. The raven-haired and the blonde teenager were walking towards it, seemingly arguing with each other. She cracked a small yet sad smile, deactivating her Hearing Alice.

"Ha... Those bastards. They really don't remember…"

"Umm who are you?"

"Me? I think you know."

She walked towards me with a determined face and then... WHAM!

Violet eyes? Porcelain skin?! Is this who I think it is?

"Hello again, little niece."

"Wait. Are you SURE that it's that same girl as then?
