Bart has recently had his sixteenth birthday. It was about a week ago. He and his family had not seen a certain homicidal maniac for about a year. And Bart starts to wonder why. And not that it would be enough… His parents had been very weird the last month.

Bart went into his home. Everything was dark so nobody was home. Good time to get to know what his parents are hiding. He went into his parents' bedroom, into their wardrobe where they kept their personal stuff. Bart looked on the cases. And one old shoebox caught his attention…

It was all black and it was written 'Never lose this!' on it. Bart shook his head. And went into his own room. He slowly opened the box and looked at what was inside.

"Adoption Papers?" he said and stared at the papers. He slowly picked them up and started to read… "ME?!" he screamed. 'Am I adopted? I'm not Bart Simpson? I am Bart… what-is-my-last name?!' he thought.

Many, MANY thoughts ran through his head when a car stopped outside. His family was home!

Homer, Marge and their daughters stepped inside their home. Bart faced them. With the papers in his hand.

"What is this?" he asked, amazingly, very calm.

"Lisa, Maggie, go to bed…" Marge said to her daughters before seeing that Homer had already fled.

Marge went into the kitchen and Bart followed her. She sat down by the table.

"Bart, I really wanted to tell you…" she said avoid to looking at him. "For 13 years ago… you was in a car accident with your biological mother… she died and you couldn't remember anything. And since nobody knew about the women or who your father was… and since the first time I saw you, I knew that you would be like my own son…"

"Okay… but why didn't you tell me?" Bart asked. He had learned already as 13 to always let people finish before saying anything. And he had become much more patient.

"You looked so happy and I thought that this would break your heart…" she murmured.

"Break my heart?!" Bart asked. "Did I look happy when Homer choked me!? Did I look happy when I had to stay at home when you went on a vacation? Did I look happy when Sideshow Bob tried to kill me but nobody helped?!"

Marge was silent.

"Tell you what! I would be much happier if I could leave you! This is farewell!"
