We let out a small laugh, sitting on my couch.
It was an interesting moment. Robbie couldn't make it, and we were bonding more than usual.
But something was different.
Every time I heard an intake of breath, I felt a small warm rush pass through me...
Just pay attention to the TV, I would tell myself.
Just pay attention to the TV...
I heard another low chuckle, and realized my little mantra wasn't working... I'd missed a scene.
We were still seperated by at least a foot.
This shouldn't be affecting me so much.
It's just...
Ok, just don't think about it.
I felt a shift.
Closer.
There goes not thinking about it.
I tried focusing on the TV again.
And then I felt it...
A hand brushed against mine, and I heard a quick intake of breath.
Then the hand stopped... resting on mine.
My heart started beating a little faster.
I glanced over, and-
The credits started rolling.
We both quickly jumped, and stood up.
"I-I should go."
I nodded, nervously. "Alright."
I could barely get the word out before I felt lips crashing on mine. I was shocked, but all I could do was kiss back...
I pulled away, and was met by scared, curious eyes.
"I... I'm gonna go."
I was dumbfounded as I heard footsteps disappear, and a door shut.
I sat back down on my couch, entirely confused.
I was supposed to like Lily.
And now I could only think of that look on Travis' face... and wonder if I'd ever be able to feel his lips against mine again.
