"Hello?" Her soft voice sounded.
"Hi." He said quietly.
"Sora?" She said, her voice no longer holding its warmth, but instead turning bitter and cold.
Her tone made him feel dirty, "Yes." He said, his eyes staring at his spotless white wall. He felt as if her voice could look right into his soul, but only picking up on the demons.
He had lied to her.
"What do you want?" She asked bluntly.
Now that my world has collapsed and I'm sitting here alone, my thoughts drift to you.
"I-I wanted to apologize." He told her.
"Oh?"
"Yeah, I-I was a real jerk. Not telling you anything and all. I'm sorry."
Will you for give me and all the mistakes I've made?
"Yes, you were a jerk," He drew in a sharp breath, that hurt, "But…maybe I'm being too rash, after all, you are a guy."
Yes, I know I'm goofy and rather childish, but my whole world revolves around you.
He laughed a bit, "You sound like Kairi."
He heard her grunt in disgust, "I hope not."
He smiled, "So, am I forgiven?"
There was a moment of silence, before she spoke, "Yes Sora, you're forgiven."
Now, if he wasn't afraid that Riku or someone would see him, and that all his work of proving of being a mature man would be destroyed he's would have ran around his house, dancing and singing with joy and relief. But of course, he couldn't do that. So instead, he settled for sighing in relief.
I'll always be there for you, no matter what.
"A-are you going to come home?" He asked, fiddling with the phone cord nervously.
"Yes, yes I'm coming home." She replied, and he could tell that she was smiling.
"Good, I've missed you." He said honestly.
"I've missed you too."
Now that all the tears and hurt have gone away, I can't wait to see your beautiful face again.
"See you soon?" He questioned hopefully.
He heard her kittenish laughter, "Very soon."
He grinned, "Until then."
"Yeah, until then." And with that, they both hung up, neither of them saying goodbye, but both left with a feeling of happiness. Everything had worked out.
Sora leaned against the wall for a moment before deciding he should start getting ready for her arrival, he began to walk out of the kitchen but paused and turned back to his notebook and wrote one last thing, after all, he owed it to her.
Thanks, Olivia.
