So, first of all, if you're going to ask me where this fic actually came from, don't expect any answer to that. This all just came to me one day…and er, yeah. So I hope you all enjoy this like I did making this.

Disclaimer: If you actually think that I own all of this, I suggest you get an appointment with my psychiatrist.

This Christmas

"Can you please push harder over there? I can't exactly stay in this position for the whole day, just so you know."

"Well, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but if it makes you feel any better, I'm also not having the best time here either."

"Bloody hell, can't you just push harder? I'm sure a strong man like yourself can get this done quickly…unless of course, you were lying about that one too."

"Hey, don't go blaming this all on me! It's not my fault it's so big!"

"What, so now you're saying it's mine?"

"Well, if I recall, it wasn't me who chose this, but rather you."

"If you want an apology, fine, I'm sorry I got us into this…situation." The blonde sighed as she managed to free her hand from her side and wiped a drop of sweat from her brow. "I promise you, I never would've started this if I knew from the beginning it wouldn't fit."

"I know, I know. Here, I'll just give it one last push and tell me if it goes through, okay?

"One, two, three…PUSH!"

"Oliver…it's not working…it's just making me tired."

"Alright then, do you have any other ideas that can make this easier for the both of us?"

"You don't have to be so snappy about it! Merlin…how about we exchange places? You stay here and I'll push towards you."

The sound of rustling resounded in the dark room as the two figures changed positions to be followed by a rather loud THUMP.

"Oliver, what did you just do?"

"Oh, er, sorry 'bout that, Kates. I accidentally knocked over the lamp."

"AGAIN? Bloody hell, that's the fifth time you've done that this week! Next thing you know, you're gonna start breaking the clock too!"

"I already said sorry, okay? This wouldn't also happen if someone would just remember to turn on the light switch once in a while so we can actually see what we're doing."

"I have a great idea, why don't you just keep quiet and I'll start pushing? Sound good? Good.

"So in one…two…THREE!"

A rather loud scream emitted from Katie and was in no time, followed by Oliver as he was sent hurtling across the wooden floor. Quickly, she scrambled to move towards him, her hair all in disarray when she had gotten to the slightly dazed man.

"OLIVER? Are you okay?"

"Er, Katie is that you?" Oliver looked up at the grinning girl as he slowly tried to regain his balance. "What happened?"

"Oh, sorry about that." The blonde blushed slightly before pulling up her friend and dusting off his shirt. "I really didn't mean to shove that hard, even if you did deserve it just a bit."

"Yeah, yeah. Well let's see how we did then." Moving closer towards the wall, Oliver quickly flicked the protruding switch on as the lights all around the flat turned back to life and revealed a large Christmas tree lying helplessly near the doorway with some of its branches twisted this way and that.

"Good job then, Kates."

"Yep, we should definitely get our own tree again next year."
