COLOURS
The colours around, remind me of you;
Black or white, red, green or blue.
Every colour triggers a part of my memory
That unveils a glimpse of our fascinating story.
Yellow symbolizes the first time I saw you,
That bizarre hair I noticed as I bid my parents adieu.
My dad then told me to beat you in every test;
Definitely, in Hogwarts, I'll show you my best.
Like those old books I read in the library,
I think brown would suit the start of our friendly rivalry.
I remember we talked a lot about that day
As we promised we'll be best friends too, and together we'll stay.
When I wrote to my dad, that I'm friends with a Malfoy
A muggle time-bomb, he is sure to deploy .
Pink, I think is a shade to remember
Because it was the colour of that loud awful howler.
Purple reminded me of that bruise you got,
Since I hexed you the first time we fought.
Al and yours prank made me extremely mad
But then you forgave me after a week or so, and, Merlin, was I glad.
Silver for your first Christmas in the burrow;
The colour of the jumper grandma sew that made you furrow.
You felt like you didn't deserve to be there,
But we all did change your mind, I swear.
A few years has passed and I realize you're more than just a friend
But I didn't want our friendship to be awkward or to end.
Gray were the skies on that cold afternoon,
With the feeling that was making me a loon.
Her dress was peach and her hands were around you
As I saw you with your date on my way to the loo.
It was on the Yule ball, I was jealous that you were with another,
I am selfish to want you to be just mine forever.
The sky was blue while I was hiding by the tree;
When I heard you and Al talk about me.
You said you only see me as one of your mates,
You really didn't know it caused me heart aches.
The night was black and the stars were sparkling,
As you comforted me while I was crying.
I'm glad you're always by my side,
Even if I lied to you about the reason I cried.
I always thought my love was unrequited,
Until on a sunset, you told me it wasn't one-sided.
I was glad you found the courage to tell me what you feel,
With that orange-coloured sky, the memory was surreal.
Green were the sheets when we first made love,
I bet the stars were sparkling in the sky above.
It was painful, it was sweet, it was were it begun,
The night I realized that you were truly 'The One'.
Another stunning colour I admire is red,
It reminded me of the petals you placed on my bed.
As you pop out that question after 3 years of being my lover;
And after a year our dads' rivalry finally got over.
As I walk towards you, we are surrounded by white
With the Weasleys, Potters and Malfoys who were happy and bright.
Today will be one of those memorable days too
Because today we'll both say 'I do.'
Colours are special for each and everyone.
They may signify a moment; happy, sad, or fun.
Colours remind me of all the things we did together.
They remind us to live colourfully ever after.
THE END.
