A/N. Written originally for a word prompt 'Incomprehensible', but it morphed. Yup. CI's not mine.

Alex was shaken from sleep by a shrill ring. She rolled over in bed and lifted the receiver.

"Eames," she murmured groggily.

An unintelligible stream of words came through the phone, backed by shouting and loud music. The voice, however, was familiar

"Bobby?" she asked.

"Ja?"

"Bobby. You're speaking German."

There was a giggle from the other end of the line. "I'm drunk. I always talk in German when I'm drunk."

"Where are you?"

"The Fiddler's Green."

She sighed, recognizing the bar where college kids were wont to get indescribably smashed. "Stay put. I'm coming to get you." She slipped out of bed.

"Thank you, mein kugelhopf".

"No problem. Just no more German, gut?"

-------------

A/N. Ja is yes, kugelhopf is a German dessert, and gut means okay. Just thought I'd clear that up.
