Dressed For Success

Another morning had come and Serena Southerlyn was facing a typical dilemma: what to wear to work…or more specifically, to court. She had a huge walk in closet full of heels, flats, and suits tops, blouses, pants and skirts and she couldn't think of a single dammed thing to wear. It was enormously frustrating.

"How in hell can I have a huge closet full of clothes and can't find something to wear to court?" she cried, exasperated. "I might as well go to court naked! Let's see what Judge Rollins and Jack have to say about that!"

"What an appealing thought." Ed Green, Serena's lover said as he emerged from the bathroom, wiping his freshly shaven face with a towel. While his place was being fumigated, he was staying with her. "But as appealing as it may be to me, I highly doubt that Branch would see the humor in it."

Serena sighed, brushing her short bangs out of her face. "True." She said with a sigh. "Damn it, why is it that no matter how many clothes I have, I can never seem to have anything to wear? This crap makes me insane!"

"As much as I adore seeing you in nothing more than a bra and panties, I think that it's time that you get dressed." Ed said. "And you may need a man's touch."

She smiled. "What sort of a man's touch?" she asked, teasingly. She took his hand in hers. "Is it the kind of touch I'm thinking about?"

He smirked at her and replied, "You know with the amount of times in a day that you and I make love, one would think that you got enough of me."

"Oh, you know that's not true, Eddie… I can never get enough of you." She purred, kissing his smooth cheek. "Now what exactly are you planning to do? Dress me?"

He smirked. "Exactly." He said. "Now, sit tight right there." To her absolutely priceless shriek of surprise, he scooped her up and plopped her down on her bed. "I'll find you something to wear." He then disappeared into her closet for a few moments.

He returned a moment later, holding a black suit with thick white pinstripes and a white top with lacey accents, which he laid out carefully on the bed. Then he went back into the closet.

Smirking, Serena noticed that he had purposely picked out a skirt, and the one on that particular suit was one of her shortest skirts. She decided to humor Ed and put it on.

Just as he was coming back with a pair of shoes, Serena was putting on her top.

"My, god, you're gorgeous." He said.

She giggled. "Keep up the nice work and I just may find a few new reasons to keep you around." She smoothed out the wrinkles on her skirt and he ached to have those hands run along the curves of his body.

"I hope that means that I'll get to see that suit on the floor tonight."

"You can make book on it, Detective." She replied with a smile. "Just as long as you don't make your want of me painfully obvious when I come around today to visit."

He kissed her deeply, murmuring, "You have my word."
