"Lancelot give it back!"
The vocalization of his sister echoed outside in the field. He'd taken her doll again, though why exactly was a mystery. Did he like girls toys? Taking a step forwards she sighed, before chasing after him. Lancelot could run, she knew he could, but her idea was to fuel herself with the determination to get back her doll.
"If you want it come and get it."
"What does it look like I'm doing?"
She never got the doll back. Her brother had dropped it in the river as he was passing it to her. Stupid clumsy brother. There was always something they had to fight for, that was one thing that would never change.
Seven years later.....
"Helena give it back!"
"Not until you tell me where you've hidden it"
"Helena give...it....back."
Smirking her grip tightened on the amulet he was requesting. It was made of pewter with a polished emerald in the middle, the words 'Guide me to my destiny' inscribed in Latin around it. She would give it back, father had given it to him, he'd die for it. But first he had to tell her where he'd hidden her most prized possession.
"Brother, tell me where it is and you shall have your amulet."
"It's only a pressed flower, that amulet is more important than...."
"Only a pressed flower? That was the last one mother picked before she died."
"I don't know where it is Helena, I haven't touched it."
"Liar"
"I'm not lying! I honestly don't know where it is."
"Fine"
Throwing the amulet across the field she sighed. Lancelot jumped and caught it before he attached it once more around his neck.
"Helena...."
"What?"
Whistling he called his horse to him and pulled a pressed flower out of the saddle bag
"You son of a....."
He started to mount....but he never made it. Helena had pulled him backwards and now he lay on the floor with her foot firmly on his chest. Sibling love.....always painful.
"Never mess with your sister...or you'll find yourself getting several vital organs removed"
"Sister?"
"What?"
"If you don't get your foot of me right now I'll make sure you never see the light of day"
See...they love each other really.
