Zacharie's chuckle was loud enough to echo on the moving monorail, the sound of the wheels grinding against the tracks dying down to a minimum as they slowed suddenly, causing the pair to jerk to a stop. Batter was motionless, the blank expression bland as always as the voice announced above them that something was blocking the path and the ride to the destination wouldn't continue until the obstacle was removed.

He turned his head towards the Batter, smirking under the mask, his next chuckle sounding breathy. "Well, amigo? Aren't you going to go check it out?"

His words were quiet, but firm as the Batter stood and spoke, gripping the handle of his newly purchased bat in his hand. "Yes. I won't be long."

"Don't keep me waiting."

Zacharie's tone came off as flirtatious, but the ever oblivious Batter stepped off the monorail, his foot steps loud and ringing through out the dark tunnel. He, of course, expected to hear the smack of a bat seconds later and red fly against the tunnel walls followed by the loud sound of splattering. He was so accustom to these sounds while around the Batter, like it would be awkward if he didn't hear them. Or to smell the heavy scent of metallic that was always staining his bat or his clothes.

All sounds of interaction stopped, and after heavy footfalls the Batter climbed back on, his tunic now stained with little dots of crimson. His new bat was now already messy, a big red dot decorating the top.

"Hm? What was there?" He asked curiously, causing Batter to glance at him - just a side glance. A moment spared of his silence. "Burnt." He replied, straightening his shoulders in a deep breath before relaxing only slightly.

"The burnt around here are different. Have you noticed?" Zacharie asked, hoping to start conversation, but the Batter merely shrugged in reply, keeping his pale lips sealed. Frowning, Zacharie leaned against the plush seat of the monorail in a bit of a childish manner.

The ride seemed to take forever, as if the burnt in there path had caused them to be weary and go slower - cautious for any more.

Zacharie was drastically bored, enough to make a few more attempts to start up conversation, but the Batter simply refused to respond to him. As if he weren't even there. Zacharie squinted, leaning closer to the Batter, glancing under the black cap to examine him better.

All four of his eyes were closed, and his chest was rising and falling gently, unlike the usual strong confident breaths he took. His aura was completely relaxed.

The Batter was asleep.

"...My. Even the hero gets sleepy."

Zacharie scooted closer to him on the seat, intending to keep him from falling over if he did, but nearly jumped when the Batter's head tipped and swayed before landing on Zacharie's shoulder. He considered - nearly for a moment, to push his head away and slide back into his spot. But the Batter seemed peaceful in his sleeping daze, so he smiled under the mask, reaching a hand up to push his mask up slightly to reveal his mouth.

"Sweet dreams, mi amigo."

And he pressed a kiss to the very top of the Batter's cap before sitting back, sliding his mask back in place.
