Author's note- Here's another fic. The muses have been moving too fast today. :)
Warnings- a bit of slash, character death.
Disclaimer- I don't own SVU or anything. No money is being made off of this (sadly.)
Beginning of the end
Elliot and George rarely went on undercover missions together, but today that's just what happened. They had infiltrated a group of rapists who were targeting divorced women, and it seemed like everything was going according to plan. Until, that is, they found themselves cornered by the leader and some group members. They pulled out their guns, but it was too late, and with the sight and sound and smell of guns in the air they knew it was the beginning of the end. They crumpled next to each other and managed to whisper "I love you" to each other before their bodes gave out.
A gentle breeze carried that bit of them that wasn't in their bodies and they stopped at what looked like a clearing, and they understood immediately. They looked at each other and sat down. "Well," George said with a sigh, "We died. At least we went down heroes. And at least we get to stay together." Elliot nodded, and they sat there a long time. Eventually they looked down and were shocked to see the scene where they had died. They both gasped when they saw Olivia Benson, Don Cragen, Fin Tutuola, and John Munch standing over their bodies. They heard what they were saying, too which was unnerving. They gave each other a quick look, then watched the scene before them.
Cragen was the first one in the room, and his stomach clenched at what he saw. George Huang and Elliot Stabler's dead bodies. Olivia, Fin, and John filed in and they all stood silently. They felt numb as they called CSU and the unit arrived, along with ME Warner. They stayed quiet for a long time after that.
George and Elliot hugged each other, feeling overwhelmed. They wished they could offer the detectives some comfort. They held each other and cried for a while, and when they looked down again they saw that their funerals were starting.
The detectives all felt like their hearts were gone. Even Fin, who had issues with Elliot, still considered Elliot a brother- they all did. And George had been an essential part of their team- his profiles had been accurate nearly all the time, and he had always been available to talk to. George and Elliot had had a relationship, they found out when the wills were read. They wished they had been there for the two, during their relationship and in those final moments. Finally, it was time for the caskets to be lowered into the ground.
Elliot and George knew it was their last chance to speak with the detectives. Well, not speak, but they knew they could convey vague thoughts. So Elliot told his kids how much he loved them and his coworkers how happy he had been to work with them, and George did the same for his sister and parents and his coworkers, both at the 1-6 and the FBI. Finally, it was time to go, and they were in a realm with nothing but each other. They didn't want it any other way. They had told each other they wanted to be together forever, and forever was just starting. It wasn't the beginning of the end, it was the end of the beginning.
Below, the final layer of dirt covered the caskets and the mourners left , starting to adjust to life without Elliot Stabler and George Huang.
Author's note- I have no idea how this idea came to me, because I don't believe in any of that stuff. But, it's fun to write heaven-ish stories. So I'm not complaining :) Please R and R!
