I recommend you listen to: Rauken, Every Heart, Strange and Beautiful and Lullaby for a stormy night while you read this.

Breathing, calm and slow echoes through out the room.

A humming bird beats its wings from within the silken burnt orange kimono top.

A soft melody whispers warmly, flowing through out the room.

Light floods from the open window.

A pastel scrawls radically across yellowed parchment.

Honeyed curls brush against the parchment, a soft sigh, a petite tanned hand pushes it back in place.

Footsteps, the artist smiles softly, not glancing up, an angel stands at their shoulder. Staring in wonder at the portrait.

The singing comes once again, louder now. In harmony now.

A pale chin rests on the artist's shoulder, amber jewels glinting hazily in the afternoon's light.

Laughter vibrates through them, from one to the other. Love casts a lazy feel around them, magic purrs consuming the warmth, overwhelming the entities.

Golden locks spill down to the angel's ankles, swaying in the whispering wind.

Promises kept, Promises lost.

Memories forgotten.

The angel basks in the sincerity that covers them like a security blanket.

And for the moment, he feels at peace.

The thief stares silently at the unconscious hunter. Still so beautiful even when blood spills from him and dirt smears his skin.

He looks so innocent, so peaceful when he sleeps. A traitorous thought, but a truthful one as well.

He pauses as he turns to leave, suddenly-

He lays a kiss on sunlight spun silk, sweeping the winter's creature into his smooth strong arms and gracefully takes flight.

He'd regret it later. He tells himself.

But for now he could marvel the feeling of his perfect enemy, curled like a child in his embrace.

He smiles.

--Authors note--

Well, I was radiating this mood when I finished drawing my pastel artwork 'Fall Magic', and decided to go with the inspiration. I think is my first present time dialog story. This will be a one-shot. In the beginning Krad is finding comfort in a memory, or a dream of his long deceased creator. The artist is his creator; I based her off me and my feeling that I get when I was drawing, this time 'Fall Magic', giving a soothing feeling.

You'll notice that in the beginning the color theme's (Golden, Burnt Orange, Honey ect.) match fall. At the end it symbolizes winter sweeping fall away.

I might do a sequel with Daisuke as summer, and Satoshi as spring if you'd like?

Disclaimer: I don't own DN Angel however I do own the artist.
