Chapter one
It was a very quiet night and the moon was shining brightly in the starry night sky, but that silence was broken by a sudden loud noise, "What was that!" yelled the half demon inuyasha jumping up grabbing Tetsusaiga quickly, ready for anything. "Who's there!" he asked angrily. "Whats going on Inuyasha?" asked several rousing voices from around the campfire. "Someones watching us," he said smelling the air trying to pick up the scent of who was hiding from them. " Who is it?" Asked Kagome a girl from present day Japan. "Reveal yourself!" Inuyasha demanded. And from behind a tree comes Kagura the incarnation of Naraku. "Damn it I knew I smelled that horrible stench of Naraku!" yelled Inuyasha, while Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and Kirara stood ready for battle. "What do you want of us!" Miroku asked. Kagura just stood on the branch of the tree and smirked. "Heh, I heard you have more shards of the jewel. Is that true?" She asked still smirking at the group. "Whats it to ya!" Inuyasha asked pulling Tetsusaiga from its sheath. Kagura pulls out her wind fan, looks at them and simply says "Give them to me." "Like we would ever do something like that! There's no way in hell!" Inuyasha said gripping Tetsusaiga harder ready for Kaguras attack, while the others stand just as ready, weapons in hand. "Fine," said Kagura simply. Kagura gripped her wind fan and yelled "Dance of the dragon!" "Backlash wave!" Inuyasha yells, then out of Tetsusaiga comes swirling yellow light headed straight for Kagura. But she jumps into the air missing backlash wave completely. "Damn it I missed!" Yelled Inuyasha angrily because of his missing blow. "Dance of the dragon!" Kagura yells again trying to get a direct shot at the group. "Kagome, shoot an arrow when I use backlash wave, I'm counting on you!" Inuyasha quickly says while the wind comes flying at them. "Ok," Kagome replies quickly getting ready with a sacred arrow. "Backlash Wave!" Inuyasha yelled, "Hit the mark!" Kagome replies pulling the arrow back and releasing it. It was perfectly in the center of the backlash wave. "Oh noooo!" Kagura yells getting hit directly by the backlash wave and the sacred arrow. "We got her!" Said Kagome surprised it was so simple. "This isnt over Inuyasha! I will get those jewel shards!" Kagura yelled with total anger and pain. "Feh, thats never gonna happen," Inuyasha said putting Tetsusaiga firmly back in its sheath. "How does Naraku find out about our having more jewel shards?" Miroku asked slightly sleepy. "That bastard always finds out when somebody gets jewel shards," Inuyasha said. "But nontheless we will get the rest of the shards before he gets his filthy hands on 'em, i'll make sure of that." Inuyasha said sounding determined. "What should we do now?" Kagome asked unsure of what they should do because of the unexpected battle. "Just go back and rest, we are leaving early tomorrow morning, i'll keep close guard during the rest of the night." Inuyasha said reluctantly, sounding as if he wanted to chase after Kagura. "Are you sure? I mean there could be another attack," said Sango, surprised to hear Inuyasha say they werent going to chase after Kagura. "Yeah didn't you hear me the first time! I'll guard the whole night, if there is another attack i'm not going to let it go unoticed!" Inuyasha said stubbornly. "Alright..." Said Kagome still on guard from the fight. But still Kagome felt safe knowing Inuyasha was going to be guarding them during the rest of the night.
