Daniel Harris panted as he ran down the dark street. He looked behind him and saw tiny headlights in the distance. He scrambled his feet and bolted along the freezing asphalt in his PJ's. He was in down town Sydney, on a Mission, because he was a CHERUB. Cherub was a secret organization in England that took Orphaned kids who had, high intellect and a good physical prowess and trained them too be spies. They were trained in the things that normal spies were trained in, Martial arts, firearms, espionage, hacking, agility and many more. No child over ten were sent over mission and once they turned 18 they left Cherub.
Daniel was a gray shirted, 12 year old Aussie kid who had moved too London when his father died. He lived with his mother until she committed suicide, after he was moved too a home before being sent to Cherub. He excelled in Athletics and Marital arts but faltered in maths and foreign languages. He had been on two missions before and he absolutely loved the life of a Cherub. He was also convinced that this mission would earn him his navy shirt. He had been sent to Australia to bust and intelligence leaking ring, which was selling vital information about the Australian troops in Iraq. He had been exposed under an hour ago and he was on the run from money hungry mad men, who were hoping too take back any info he had stolen and then take Daniel out of the picture.
Daniel ran along the street in his bare feet and PJ's; with his brown hair spiky from being waken up by the sound of the men braking into the house he was staying in. His mission controller (Richard Freeman) had gone out too deliver some Info too the local authorities when the men attacked. His feet started too hurt from the cold and the running on the rough road.
Daniel heard the doors of the car shutting and the men shouting too each other as they ran after him. Daniel looked too both sides in search of an escape and saw a low fence. He ran over too it and vaulted over the fence into a back yard. The men were only a few steps behind and the sounds of a pistol reloading could be heard. Daniel climbed up and over the fence and into a park but he was too late. One of the men stood in front of him and the other jumped onto his back pulling him too the ground.
"What information do you have?" shouted them tall man in front of him who held a pistol pointed at his chest.
"I don't know what you're talking about!" Daniel shouted hoping too bluff he way out of it.
"Wrong answer." Said the man with the pistol and smashed him across the face with the but.
Blood filled Daniels mouth and he spat it out. He glared at the man and smiled.
"That was your wrong answer." He replied with a bloodied tooth grin and shifted his arms. He elbowed the man who held him down in the crotch and swung a leg out to trip the pistol carry man. He seized his moment and ran/limped off into the park. But the men were swift to react he fired three shots. One missed Daniel completely; one burying in his thigh and another in the back which went threw into the stomach. The world turned black with searing pain and the last thing he saw was house lights turning on.
