T R U S T
An incredible couple share two very different lifestyles.
Will they be able to cope?
All they need is trust to pull them through.
But can they trust?
As the show ended, fans screamed excitedly. All manner of gifts were thrown at the rockstar on stage; Chocolate, flowers and more often that not, underwear. Grabbing a few of these items from the stage floor, the blonde bombshell waved at his fans and winking, left the stage.
Backstage, his lover Tai was waiting for him. Throwing the gifts into a corner he wrapped his arms around his brunette boyfriend's neck, smiling.
"You were great tonight, Yama", the boy grinned.
"You say that everynight", the star replied, kissing his nose.
"Matt! You have a signing to get to!", the blonde heard his manager yell from behind him.
"I thought the show was the last date for today? I had a week off right..?" he raised an eyebrow.
"Had to cancel it, too much to do. Now get your hands off that boy and come on!" Giving Tai a filthy look, the manager strode out of the back door. Tai poked his tongue out. Noticing the look on his boyfriend's face, he hugged him tightly.
"It's alright Yama, i'll see you soon.." Tai almost whispered. Matt smiled, although it was a sad smile, and kissing his lover on the nose once more, he moved towards the door. Taking a moment to look back before exiting. Tai stood alone backstage. A few fans could still be heard laughing and chatting out front. Rubbing his forehead with his hand, he sighed and exited through the side door.
Once home, the brunette sat on the couch, and turning on the Tv, closed his eyes. Remembering what should be on, he turned on Mtv to find his lover's almost live show.
"Yama.." he sighed. It was becoming rough. His boyfriend's recent rise to fame was taking it's toll on the couple. The year before, Tai and Matt would spend every day and night together. They'd fall asleep and wake up together. But now, Tai would be lucky to see his lover once or twice a month. A tear escaped him, streaming down his cheek.
Meanwhile, Matt sat beside his band members on uncomfortable plastic chairs in a stuffy crowded room. Repetedly signing his name on CD covers, posters.. more underwear. He was tired of putting on fake smiles for all these headache producing fans. All he wanted was to hold Tai.. Just to be with him.
"Oh Tai.." he sighed.
"Her name's Tammy..", the woman infront of him complained. Putting on a fake smile once again, he replied,
"Sorry, I was lost in thought". Once the signing was finally over, the band got into their van along with their manager and drove off.
"Is that it?", Matt asked his manager, aggrivated.
"Yes." He replied, baring his teeth. "I've booked the hotel, you'll all be staying at the Carter hotel, it's nearby.
"No! No hotels.." Matt yelled to the front. "I'm staying at Tai's!"
"Do you think it will be very comfortable having to put up with a burden like you at this time in the morning.. it's 2am!" his manager yelled back. Matt's face dropped.
'Burden?', he thought.
"I'll stay in the hotel.." he swallowed, trying to stop the tears escaping.
"Yama..", Tai whispered. It was 2am, why was he still up at this time? He hadn't slept properly in a while. He couldn't.
"Taichi..", Matt whispered, almost in response, the the boy miles away from him. Laying back on his hotel bed he pondered.
"Am I really a burden on you, Tai?", he asked rhetorically, pulling a rose from the vase beside him, and pulling out petals, one at a time.
