This is something that came to me about a month or two(or three) ago, finally got a plan for the story. Tell me what you guys think about this. I hope you enjoy it! Also, do know that even if this resembles my other story in some details, it doesn't mean that it is the same. This is a completely different story, ok?
Chapter 1
A Cold Day
It took him every ounce of strength he could muster to keep walking through the cold, the snow was falling more heavily now and he couldn't even see the castle through the cold white haze anymore.
'How could I say that to him, in front of her?' Marco thought to himself bitterly.
'I ruined Star's special day' he thought as he trudged through the snow.
'Damn it. Just... Damn it. My own feelings are making me do stupid stuff, I gotta apologize to Tom.' he kept thinking to himself.
And just then a pillar of fire erupted behind him.
"Dude, what the heck was that?" Tom asked, walking out of the inferno, his arms crossed and his tone angry, but his eyes were warm.
"Tom!" Marco said, surprised.
"Look, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean what I said there, you aren't a bad boyfriend. I mean, look at you, you changed man, you got better, for Sta... For Star." Marco said, forcing the her name out, even now it hurt to say it out loud, it felt like he had to wretch her name out from his heart to say it.
Tom looked surprised at the sudden apology, and pondered on it for a moment.
"You know, you shouldn't have stormed out man. You were mad, I get it, but even so, you really shouldn't have stormed out" Tom said angrily, glaring at the boy.
"But..." Tom said, opening his arms in an obvious gesture, a small smile on his face.
"Heh, bros for life." Marco said, rushing into the hug, glad to have made up with one of his closest friends.
Marco had a warm feeling in his chest, it felt great, and he smiled at that.
Then all of a sudden, that warm feeling turned hotter and hotter, until it became agonizingly hot.
He pushed away from the hug, clutching his chest with his right hand, despite the snow and all encompassing cold around them Marco had began sweating.
He looked at Tom, and to his horror, he saw that he was grinning from ear to ear his three eyes were glowing an absolute black.
"You really shouldn't have stormed out Marco" He said, stepping closer to the human, laughing maniacally as he did so.
"You know how long I've been waiting for a moment like this? For you to finally lose it? To snap? I have been bidding my time for waaaaaay too fucking long man." Tom said, leering at the boy.
Marco was on his knees now, his hand still clutching his chest. He tried to say something, anything but he couldn't find his voice, and his vision was fading away.
"Enjoy the curse, it's a Lucitor special, no one had that cast on them in millennia apparently, so consider yourself lucky." Tom said quietly, turning around and disappearing in a pillar of flames.
Marco was on his side now, his hands seemed to be glued to his aching chest, he tried calling for help but he only managed to let out a weak little yelp.
He felt his consciousness fading, he could feel his insides burn up and churn, like someone was skewering him with a still burning torch, twisting it in his guts.
But just as he lost hope, he heard someone call out his name.
"Here..." He responded as loud as he could, which was barely above a whisper.
Again someone called out his name.
And try as he might he couldn't muster up the strength to speak, he couldn't even keep his eyes fully open.
He couldn't hear anything coherent now just a painfully high-pitched noise, ringing in his ears.
And as his vision started to fade to black the searing pain on his chest vanished, replaced by the terrible creeping icey cold of the snow.
But then, he felt strong yet very gentle hands gingerly pick him up, an aquamarine sea of hair was the last thing he saw before the cold, that once had a total death grip on him, vanished completely, replaced by a steady growing warmth that seeped into him.
Little did he know, that terrible chill he felt would be haunting him to the brink of insanity and delirium.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Tom made his way back to the party, only to find that everyone had already left and that Star was sitting alone, deep in thought.
"Hey Starship, guess the party's over huh?" he said.
"Yeah." Star answered, her voice monotone.
"Oh... " Tom said, lamely.
"Did you find Marco?" Sha asked in a more upbeat manner this time.
'Damn bitch, she's still has him in her mind? I'm right here for fucks sake' he bitterly thought to himself.
"Sorry Starship, I couldn't find him." Tom said, his tone calm and worried. An act.
"Oh... Well... He'll be back" Star, said as she got up.
'He always comes back, I'll just wait for him' Star thought to herself.
Walking over to Tom, she gives him a light kiss on the lips.
"I'll see you tomorrow then?" She asked.
"Of course!" Tom said, a wide smile on his face.
He walked away from Star and a pillar of flame erupted around him, as the flames died down he found himself in his home, the underworld, more precisely the throne room.
He lasted about five seconds before he burst out laughing like a lunatic.
"Hahahaha, he'll be back? Who are you kidding Star? That turd is finally out of my hair once and for all. Finally!" He said maniacally, his eyes turned black as pitch.
"Wow, seems like someone's been busy." His father said, walking into the room.
Tom turned around and grinned at his dad.
"Damn right I was busy, finally got around to curse him again." Tom said.
"Oh? That's nice, what did you use this time? One that makes him vomit if he says the girl's name? Or was it the one that makes it so that his socks are always wet?" His father asked, although he was human he didn't let that get in between bonding with his son.
"Nope used the worse one I could find, it's said that it could never be undone, that even if you purge your soul it would still be there, no matter how strong you are it will still cling to you, one where you'll suffer eternally for it." Tom said, reciting some of the words from its description.
"You don't mean..." His father said, he couldn't believe his ears.
"Yes. The Lucitor curse." Tom said.
"No... No no no no no NO!" His father screamed, clutching the sides of his head with his hands.
"Uh.. Dad? What's wrong?" Tom asked, placing his hand on his father's shoulder.
"You IMBECILE!!" Dave yelled as he backhanded his son, sending him flying straight through his obsidian throne.
Dave's form was flickering, shadows have enveloped the left half his body, distorting half his human form into an incoherent shambling mess, his left eye was shining in an eerie yellow glow.
"Do you have any idea what you have done?" His father asked, his voice ominous and low, it was almost a growl.
"Dad?" Tom asked in a small voice, a look of total confusion and hurt on his face. His father was always kind and caring he never did anything like this, mostly because he wasn't supposed to be capable to doing anything like this, he was a vanilla human. Wasn't he?
Dave became very still upon seeing his son's hurt look.
"Thomas..." He said softly, falling to his knees and hugging himself. He looked down on his form before letting out an absolutely guttural scream.
"Dad!" Tom yelled, rushing to his father's side.
"No Tom, go call your mother. Now." He said as Tom got close.
But he didn't need to, his father's scream had reached Wrathmelior's ears making her race towards the throne room.
Upon arriving there she immediately picked up her husband, her hulking form dwarfing her husband's.
She spoke to her husband in a series of incoherent grunts and grumbles, ancient demon language, and Dave answered:
"I'm sorry my love, I lost my temper and hit our son." he said.
To which she replied with more grunts.
"No, it's... Yes he did." he said.
At that she looked over to Tom, for confirmation.
"Yes... I... I used the Lucitor curse." Tom said, at first a sad look adorned his face, but it was quickly replaced with a look of determination in his eyes.
"But so what? He deserved it!" Tom said angrily.
His mom grumbles some more.
"What... What do you mean it's a blessing? So it's not a curse?Tom asked, completely baffled.
More grumbling.
"Wait, so it is a curse? But also a blessing? What are you talking about? This doesn't make any sense!" Tom said, getting frustrated.
"Tom... Listen to me." His dad said, regaining his voice, having returned to normal.
"That curse... It is the symbol of the Lucitors, its our source of power, the soul of the family if you will." His dad said.
"That was what gave the very first Lucitor his powers, a very long time ago a warlock cast that on him to test it out... It didn't end well for that warlock, you see the curse was supposed to be a slavery spell, it was meant to bend someone's soul to your control, give them great and unfathomable powers, sure the magic would eventually corrode their body and mind, but it was the perfect temporary minion don't you think?" He father started explaining.
"But what happened was... It failed in some ways and succeeded in others. It gave the Lucitor powers but it wasn't able to bend his mind nor their soul, the curse was still permanent nothing could've broken it, and naturally he killed the warlock and took everything the warlock had. That Lucitor lived a great life from that point on, he had strong magic that no one could beat, he was invincible. "
"One day, he got cocky, he went around challenging anyone he could find, from warriors to Kings to Warrior Kings, testing out his new powers. Eventually the former ruler of the Underworld caught wind of this, he went up to Mewni himself to see this, maybe the Lucitor would've made a good general for his army, he thought, but in his arrogance, Lucitor challenged the former King."
"The following fight was gruesome, it lasted for days, the King wasn't able to keep up with Lucitor's regeneration, and Lucitor wasn't able to do too much significant damage to the King, eventually the King managed to rip the soul out of Lucitor and purge it, but his body was still alive, a mindless, soulless husk, but alive. The King, looking at his own mangled body thought about how weak it was, so he took his own soul and transferred it into Lucitor's body gaining his powers and curse along with it."
"He took the Lucitor name as his own as a sign of respect, and he knew he couldn't return to the Underworld looking like a Mewman, so he ate his old body to absorb any remaining power left and morphed his form, ever since then the Lucitor bloodline was one of the strongest in the whole Underworld, so much so that it rivaled the Butterfly kingdom, even with the wand in their possession." Dave finished.
"I don't get it... So what? I gave that turd powers? If that's what you're worried about I can just kill him now." Tom said.
"No Tommy, you need to understand, what you just did was create another Royal." his Dad said.
"Huh?" Was all Tom said.
"Tom, the last person to have the curse cast on them was me. Don't you get it?" Dave said.
"..." He said nothing, a look of pure confusion on his face.
"I had your mom cast the Lucitor curse on me so the nobles would recognize me as a worthy crown bearer for this kingdom." Dave said.
"... What?" Tom said.
"Tom, that boy could very much kill everyone in this whole castle and take the throne for himself if he wanted, and no one, would oppose him. He's a Lucitor now." Dave said.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Marco woke up in a bed full of fluffy purple, pink and red pillows, despite the comfortable bed Marco felt unexpectedly uncomfortable, he was drenched in cold sweat, he had been plagued by nightmares the night before.
'No, not nightmares' he thought to himself.
'By the truth... How could I have been so blind? I gave up my whole life for her, twice!, the sixteen years I spent in Hekapoo's dimension, poof, gone in a heartbeat, the fourteen years of having a decent life in echo creek? Also gone, and what do I get in return? I get treated like shit, even River just gave me that meat blanket, guess now I know where Star gets it. Why did I even bother with her? She takes me for granted, doesn't even consider that flak I get from the others here... I get that I hurt her back then, but this is too much. There was absolutely no point in me wasting my time here... Except... Maybe... '
"Kelly..." He whispered to himself quietly.
But to his surprise something began stirring beside the bed.
"Wait... Kelly?" Marco asked.
"Huh? Uh... Ah! Marco you're awake! Finally." Kelly said, opening her eyes and jolting herself awake.
"Huh? What are you talking about? Where am I?" He asked..
"In my bed silly" She said with a smile that made Marco blush.
"But more importantly, what happened man?" Kelly asked.
"I saw you passed out in the cold last night!" she said
"Oh... Uh... I... I don't remember." Marco said sheepishly.
And just then, a chill crawled up Marco's spine.
"It's a little chilly in here" Marco said, hugging his arms and shivering a little, it turns out he wasn't wearing his hoodie.
"Oh, here's your hoodie" Kelly said, handing it to him.
"Thanks" He said, putting the hoodie on.
"Are you sure you're cold? You were sweating a lot not too long ago" Kelly said.
"Uh yeah, I'm freezing actually..." Marco said.
"Really?" She said, reaching over to touch his forehead, and also unintentionally cupping the side of his face.
Her hand felt warm to the touch and Marco unconsciously leaned into it, even as she took her hand away he unknowingly sought out her touch.
"Uh, yeah, guess you do feel a little cold." Kelly said, as she removed her hand.
"I'm gonna go get you another blanket, then I'll ask Star for help, maybe you caught something" Kelly said quickly, rushing out of the room.
Unbeknownst to Marco, Kelly was furiously blushing as she rushed out.
~~~~~~~~~~~
"No Kelly, you know you can't have him, he likes Star, remember?" She quietly whispered to herself once she was outside.
~~~~~~~~~
'Kelly...' Marco thought to himself.
'She's one my closest friends here, but... Is that really all I think of her? Marco pondered the thought.
'... I've made this mistake before. I'm not gonna do it again, I'm not gonna be blind to what's in front of me anymore.' He thought to himself, as he steeled his nerves for what he was about to do.
~~~~~~~~~
"Hey Marco, here, I got you some more blankets" Kelly said, walking back into the room.
"Thanks Kelly" Marco said, taking the blankets and covering himself, feeling warmer already.
"Well, I'm gonna call Star now, she's worried about where you've been." Kelly said, her voice becoming a whisper at the end of the sentence.
"Wait, Kelly, listen..." Marco began.
"I've been thinking... About you know... You, and uhh.. about how we're always questing whenever we can and we seem to get along great right? I was... Ummm thinking about... Ughh..." Marco said, fumbling for the right words to say.
'Wait... Is he gonna say what I think he's saying?' Kelly thought, her heart was doing jumping jacks at the prospect ofof what he wasn't gonna say.
'It can't be, he likes Star... Right?' She thought, although right now she was unsure whether that was true or not.
"What, I'm trying to say here is... Is that..." Marco was saying, but suddenly he clutched his chest and began hyperventilating. His vision had gone blurry and his head felt like something was hammering it from the inside, and the cold... It was everywhere, behind his eyes, in his chest, inside his head, it didn't hurt, it was more numbing than anything else.
"Marco? What's... What's wrong? Are you okay?" Kelly asked, concerned for her friend, her emotions shoved aside for now.
Marco didn't answer, he just clutched his chest and continued shivering.
"Okay, that's it we're going to Star" She said, taking out her scissors and cutting open a portal, and half carrying Marco she walked on through.
~~~~~~~~~
"... So you're sure Marco hasn't come back yet?" Tom asked.
"Yes Tom I'm sure! I mean do you see him around?" Star said, gesturing at the empty room around them.
"Easy, there Starship, I was just asking." Tom said, raising his hands in a placating manner.
'Good, he hasn't come back here yet' he thought to himself.
"Look, how about we go to town and relax a little bit? Cornshakes on me?" Tom asked.
"Sigh, I'm sorry Tom, but I have princess duties to take care of, plus without Marco it's gonna be an exhausting day." Star said.
"I mean, where could he have gone? He's supposed to be by now!" Star said, stomping her foot in frustration.
'Of course, if it isn't Marco, it's princess duties, she never has any time for me! What am I to you Butterfly? I've worked so hard trying control my temper and not blow up. But you're just ignoring me every chance you get.' Tom thought to himself, his grip on his temper was slipping.
"Really Star? You never have any time for me! If I didn't know better, I'd say you like trying to be an actual princess than be with me!" He said angrily.
"What is that supposed to mean Tom?" Star asked, her voice slightly raised.
"Oh don't give me that. You know full well how you weren't much of a princess, hell your parents even shoved you to another dimension cause they didn't want to deal with someone like you, the reason you were even barely tolerable to anyone, was cause of that turd you call a friend, Marco, tried so hard to bring the best out of you." Tom said, his eyes taking on a red tinge.
At this Star blinked, a hurt look on her face.
"At least I'm actually trying now..." Star said, her voice barely a whisper.
"Yeah, and all it took was having your kingdom being taken over by Toffee." Tom said quietly, as he looked down on Star.
"How could you even say that..." Star said.
"Just saying the truth. Nothing more." He answered, crossing his arms.
"You're my boyfriend Tom! You know I'm trying my best for my kingdom! Why would even say that. If Marco were here..." Star was saying, tears were threatening to fall now.
"There it is again! Marco this. Marco that. I have had it with Marc..." Tom was saying, then all of the sudden Kelly jumps out of a portal, saying:
"Star, I need your help, it's about Marco." She said.
The demon had had enough, he didn't bother keeping his temper in check anymore, his eyes were fully red now. And with a stomp of his foot he sent a shockwave through the floor, knocking Kelly and, unbeknownst to Tom, Marco, across the room.
"What the heck was that Tom!" Kelly yelled as she stood up.
But Tom was still in a fit of rage, and with a wave of his hand he telepathically knocked Kelly down once again, knocking her out.
"Tom!" Star yelled, as she rushed over to Kelly's side.
Marco was rubbing his aching head as got up and upon seeing that Kelly was out cold he glared at Tom.
"What did you do Tom!?" He yelled angrily.
Tom had finally calmed down enough to see what he had done.
"What? I... I didn't mean to." He was saying, but Marco walked up to him and punched him across the face.
"Argh... I said I didn't mean it!" Tom yelled, but Marco just punched him again.
"What did you do to her Tom!?" Marco yelled again, the pain of his throbbing chest and head was pushed to the corner of his thoughts, it was the least of his worries right now.
Marco's fist was raised, he was about to punch Tom again, but a memory flared to life in his mind.
A look of absolute confusion was on his face, which very quickly turned into a look of hurt... A look of someone betrayed.
"What... What did... What did you do to me Tom?" Marco said, his voice was barely a whisper.
"What?" Star said, looking up from Kelly's side.
"What's he talking about Tom?" Star asked, glaring at her boyfriend.
Tom didn't answer. How could he?
'Oh, easy, I just cursed Marco after pretending to be his friend to get close to you. But don't worry, it wasn't a curse at all so it's fiiiine!'
There was no way in Tom's home he could say that to her, he couldn't even look at her right now.
Marco looked at Tom one last time before he closed his eyes, and as he shook his head he turned around and walked to Kelly.
"Marco... what did Tom do to you?" Star asked as he knelt down to Kelly.
He didn't answer, he simply looked at Kelly and felt a pang of guilt at letting her get hurt, and there was something else, he couldn't quite tell what it was, but looking at her face seemed to make his heart flutter.
'Yeah... There's no denying it anymore...He thought.
"Marco?" Star called out to him, placing her hand in his shoulder, only to feel something shock her hand, making her recoil in pain.
"Ow! Hey that hur..." Star was saying, but seeing the way Marco now looked at Kelly seemed to hurt more than the shock.
Star was speechless, she couldn't say anything, she just felt her chest tighten when see saw the longing look, Marco was giving Kelly.
"Marco?" Star said quietly, unsure of what was happening in front of her.
"Never talk to me again Tom. From this point on I don't know who you are and I don't care who you are. We're not friends anymore... but you already got a headstart there, don't you?" Marco said, his voice was calm and collected, betraying the look of absolute hatred on his face.
With a quick slash of his scissors he opens up a portal back to Kelly's house and carrys her through the portal.
He didn't even look back.
"What did you do?" Star asked quietly.
"..." Tom didn't answer, all he could do was turn away.
"What did you do!!?" Star yelled at Tom, her golden butterfly form flashing to existence for a brief moment.
"I... I can't tell you that." Tom said, avoiding his girlfriend's eyes.
"Get out." She said quietly.
"Huh? Sorry, what did you say Starship?" Tom said.
"I said get out!" Star yelled, stomping her foot in anger, the hearts on her cheeks glowing bright red.
"I... Okay." Tom said, disappearing in a column of flames.
"He'll be back right? Marco always comes back..." Star said as Tom left, a single tear falling down her face.
~~~~~~~~~~~
"Damn it!" Tom said, as he appeared in his room.
"Didn't think he'd be able to show his face so soon. I've gotta kill him before Star finds ou..." Tom was saying, but he got interrupted but a cough behind him.
"Thomas." His father said, he standing by Tom's bed and his arms were crossed.
"Dad... What.. What're you doing here?" Tom asked, surprised at seeing his dad.
"I'm here because I need you to hurry up and take responsibility for what you have done. And judging from what you just said just now, you failed." He said.
"Yeah, but..." Tom began.
"No buts Tom. Let this be your one and only warning. You are to do what I have told you to do not because I am your father, but because I am the King! And expect you to obey." He said, his glare and tone was absolutely overpowering.
"Y... Yes father." Tom said, shaking slightly from fear. His father didn't get angry often, but when he did... Most demons would piss their pants.
"Good. Now... Do you wanna go out for ice cream? I haven't had some in weeks!" He said cheerfully.
'Yup, that's dad.' Tom thought to himself.
"Sure, but it's your treat dad." Tom said with a smile.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Marco laid Kelly down on the same bed he had been on not too long ago.
"Please be okay..." Marco said quietly, holding on to her hand as he sat on a chair beside the bed.
"Huh, this is probably the same chair Kelly was in since last night." Marco said to himself. He couldn't help but laugh a little at the thought of how they've swapped places, with him watching her.
As he was pondering this thought Kelly had already started to slowly regain consciousness.
"Ugh... Why do I have a headache?" Kelly said, rubbing her head as she sat up.
"Kelly!" Marco said as he hugged her.
"Thank God you're alright, I didn't know how long you were gonna stay out cold, I was so worried about you..." He said as he ended the hug.
"Yeah I'm... I'm alright Marco." Kelly said, blushing lightly, she didn't expect to be hugged by the guy she likes first thing after waking up.
But Marco was still rambling on, about how Tom was a jerk, and whether or not Kelly really was alright, if she needed an ice pack or not. Another Marco moment.
She couldn't help but smile at that, he was always worrying about others, to the point that it made him look deranged at times. That was one of the things she really liked about him. That and he's really cute when he fusses about the even with the smallest of things, and that he's kind, caring, cool, he's even badass when he fights. Kelly thought to herself.
And before she knew it, she already had the boy's face cupped in her hands and their lips were locked in a kiss.
Only when she pulled away from the kiss did she realize what she had done.
"Oh corn! I'm... I'm so sorry Marco. I didn't know what came over me..." Kelly said, waving her arms in front of her in embarrassment.
But Marco didn't say anything at first, he was just blushing bright red and avoiding Kelly's gaze.
"It's... It's okay Kelly, I don't... I don't mind." He said quietly.
'He... He doesn't mind?' She thought to herself, completely shocked at his reaction. She excepted literally everything else other than that, push her away, yell at her, pass out, sure she expected that but not this.
"Well... I already went this far." She quietly said to herself.
"I'm sorry for this Marco." She said.
"Huh?" Was all Marco managed to say before Kelly grabbed the front of his hoodie and pulled him in for another kiss. This time she expected Marco to finally push her back, but she didn't care, she knew this was gonna be the only time she could do this.
But much to her surprise Marco practically melted into the kiss, deepening it further than she'd ever thought he was capable of without passing out.
When they finally broke free from kiss they simply looked at each other's blushing faces, both equally speechless at what the other had done.
"M... Marco?" Kelly said, looking at his blushing face.
But Marco just looked away, avoiding her eyes.
'Oh... Guess he hates me now...' Kelly thought to herself, as she looked at hands resting on her lap, ashamed of what she did.
"Yeah... I like you too." Marco said, still looking away, his blush never leaving his face.
"What?" Kelly asked, whipping her head to the side to look at him.
"I... I said I like you." He repeated.
"Yes, I heard you the first time but... WHAT???" Kelly asked again, completely surprised at what she heard.
"I like you okay! Now... Can you not make say it again... It's embarrassing." Marco said, his face still red as his hoodie.
"I like you too..." She said quietly.
"But I thought you liked Star?" she asked even more quietly.
The question threw Marco off, but what surprised him more was the near immediate answer he gave her:
"No. I don't." He said,
"What? For real?" Kelly asked, he didn't seem to be lying, but the answer really took Kelly off guard.
"Yeah, I don't. I mean, I used too, but... Somehow I guess realized I was just making myself miserable pinning for her, I need to focus on what I already have and build up on that." He said as he looked at Kelly.
"Besides, she has a boyfriend now, a lying, backstabbing, jerk of a boyfriend but a boyfriend all the same." Marco said with a frown.
"What did he do?" Kelly asked, her voice was cold as ice.
"That's the thing. I don't know yet. All I know is, he placed another curse on me, says it's special so I doubt it's the naysaya." Marco said.
"Well, that doesn't matter, I'll be here for you still." Kelly said, taking Marco's hand into her own, their fingers intertwined.
"Does... Does this make you my girlfriend?" Marco asked, looking at her.
"Yeah, I think that's what it means... You dork." Kelly said, hugging him.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Star was currently pacing in her room, thinking about what just happened, and what Tom could have done that made Marco never wanna see him again.
She was still mulling over the matter when a portal opened up right in front of her.
"Star... I want to talk." Marco said, walking out of the portal.
"Marco!" Star yelled as she moved to give him a hug, only to have him recoil away from her before she could've embraced him.
Star looked visibly hurt at that.
'He never turns down a hug...' She sadly thought to herself.
"Sorry Star, but I need to leave, I can't be your squire anymore." Marco said.
"What? Why!?" Star yelled, completely baffled at what he said.
"Is it cause of what Tom did?" She asked.
"No Star... It's just... I'm only making myself miserable here, I mean it was nice being with you again... But I can't stay here anymore." He said.
"What are you talking about Marco?" Star asked.
"What I mean Star, is that I need to move on, you're with Tom already and sooner or later you're gonna be Queen. The sooner I do this the better, I can't keep trying to be with someone I can't." He said.
"Are saying..." Star began.
"Yes, I have a crush you" Marco said, interrupting her.
"Oh no no no no, you can't just say that and leave, I gave you a responsibility Marco, you need to keep your word as my squire." Star demanded.
"Star... Princesses aren't meant to have squires in the first place, you said that, remember?" Marco said.
"Besides, do you really want me to stay here?" Marco asked.
"..." Star simply kept quiet.
"And besides Star, I was really miserable for the most part here, you never even noticed. Yes, I loved you. But you don't feel the same, so when I do what's best for me don't say that I'm turning my back on you. I've given up everything for you Star. But you were apathetic to me. I'm done" Marco said, slashing open a portal for himself.
"Goodbye Star... I'll... I'll see you around." Marco said, walking through the portal, not even sparing a single glance back. If he did, he'd have seen Star breaking down and crying her eyes out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, so this is done, it's shorter than I wanted but for the first chapter, it'll have to do, what do you guys think? As for Tom's parents, I already had personalities for them wwaaaaay before the show showed them. (funny enough Dave was the name I wanted Tom's dad to have, and Eleonora for his mom.) and don't worry I'm gonna be going back to the other story now, so cheers!
