What We Desire
Bill: Hello every one it is 6:30 am central time and I just came up with a weird idea for a Harry Potter one shot so with out further ado on with the story oh and I don't own Harry Potter J.K. Rowling does
It was Christmas at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and a thick blanket of snow covered everything as Hagrid the gamekeeper at Hogwarts Trudged through the snow and up to the castle since so few students stayed at Hogwarts for the vacation the headmaster Albus Dumbledore invited all the staff and remaining students up to his office to open presents before going down to the Great Hall for the Christmas morning feast Hagrid finally reached the gargoyle that blocked the entrance to the headmasters office and he spoke
"Sugar Quills" said Hagrid
The gargoyle leapt aside and Hagrid climbed the stairs and knocked on the door the door opened on the other side was the headmasters smiling face
"Ah Hagrid nice of you to finally join us" said Dumbledore "please come in"
Dumbledore had magically enlarged the room so they could fit more people in it he had also conjured up more chairs the chairs were set up in a circle each one had a different teacher or student in it as Hagrid walked in Dumbledore conjured another chair this one larger than the rest Hagrid sat down in this one as Dumbledore held up a candy dish
"Candy Cane Hagrid?" asked Dumbledore
Hagrid took one
"Thank you very much headmaster" said Hagrid
Dumbledore waved his wand and summoned every body one present it floated over to the individual and then rested at their feet the headmaster went first the tag on it read: To: Headmaster Albus Dumbledore From: Harry Potter, he opened the and inside rested a pair of comfortable looking blue and yellow stripped socks
"Oh Harry how did you know" asked the headmaster
"I remembered from the time I found the Mirror of Erised you said you dearest desire was to get a pair of warm socks" Replied Harry
Hagrid picked his up next it was also from Harry it was brown and had little holes cut out of it he open the box and pulled out a miniature dragon a Norwegian Ridgeback Hagrid gasped
"Harry is this what I think it is" asked Hagrid
"Yes it's a miniature version of Norbert I had Charlie send me a letter describing him and molded him out of clay and painted it to look like him then the headmaster helped me charm him to correspond with the real Norbert back in Norway" explained Harry
The party carried on in a much similar way until all the presents had been opened then they all went to the Great Hall and had a feast

As the headmaster lay down in bed wearing the socks Harry had given him he wondered what next year would bring around he shrugged and blew out the candles and closed his eyes and went to sleep
