SPN 100 challenge, word: breathe.
Summary: Can you slip under someone's skin without linking to the way he perceives the world? If you think so you're wrong. Set in Season 4.
A/N: Yeah well, I know I'm a bit late but I couldn't resist to play with a word like "breathe", and last week it was simply too hot to think.
He can't breathe.
Well, his human shell is working perfectly normal, he can't detect any aberrance. But HE can't BREATHE, confined to this frail body, sensing the tick-tock of cells arising and dying. He wonders how humans find the energy to build things and fight for a life that's doomed from the beginning. Like the one he has rescued from the darkest pit of Hell, strangely touched by the fire burning deep inside this scattered soul, kindled with love and hope and stubbornness beyond reason. He has a feeling that what he is about to learn might change him forever.
