Since the school year is almost upon me, I decided to create my first contest on this website. It'll be simple, straightforward and fun. The guidelines are as follows:
You will compose a one-shot, between 100 and 2,000 words, on ONE of the following prompts:
Inside the Smash arena, a heated battle is in progress. In response to cheers, dares and encouragement to join in, the green-capped one has leaped into the thick of the fray, his attacks becoming more powerful and animated.
You're lucky that I'm capable of self-control. Otherwise, you'd be in a world of pain right now.
Tell me something—have you ever Smashed to Ravel's Bolero?
You have this entire battlefield to yourselves. Walk in opposite directions. On the third tweet of the whistle, you dash in and attack.
A guest arrives at the Smash universe for the sole purpose of observing and evaluating the Smashers.
Entries will be judged based on creativity, clarity, good spelling and grammar and descriptive language (I've always been a stickler for adjectives!).
As far as characters are concerned, you may use any character you wish, and I will allow OCs. But there's a catch—Luigi must be one of them. His portrayal will also be part of the judging criteria.
Any rating between K and M is okay.
Entries are due on September 4, 2014. Because of my school schedule, winners will be announced sometime in the fall.
