Hi, this is my first fanfic. This is primarily around BB and his struggles with his recent past (Terra). He's my favorite...enjoy :)
Set a month after the final episode
Beast Boy
I woke up groggily from feeling the dampness of the drool on my pillow.
Too lazy to react in disgust, I slowly moved the wet cushion away from my head. I grabbed a pile of used clothes from the floor near to me to replace my support. I had hoped to sleep longer, possibly into the afternoon, when the two most annoying sounds got me alert: the alarm signaling active crime, and the following voice of Robin screeching "TITANS WAKE UP!"
Groaning, I swiftly got up and zipped into my uniform. Changing in front of my mirror, however, I noticed more stains on my face than the one tracing my mouth.
Ever since that day, tears were a common occurrence. Happening every other day, my nightmares would wake me up, and I eventually fell back asleep of emotional exhaustion. This time I was lucky-I managed not to wake up, and I did not remember anything.
Usually when I woke up in the morning like this I quickly rushed to the restroom to wash my face. I did just this.
Third Person
Raven had woken up at her usual time, early in the morning, to brew her tea. After ten or so minutes of drinking in silence she spent her time meditating in her room until the alarm went off along with Robin's call. Irritated, she went over to the ops room for a quick meeting to plan to take down the latest trouble.
Arriving, she found all but one of the members together. Expectedly, the one who was late was Beast Boy. Cyborg looked over to Raven.
"Y'all the last one here. Your turn to wake up BB," grinned Cyborg.
Raven slouched over in disappointment, leaving to retrieve Beast Boy. She halted in the hallway, however, sensing his presence nearby. Looking past the corner, she saw him entering the bathroom.
As an empath she could usually feel the emotions of others; the stronger a certain emotion, the easier she could notice. She could never read Beast Boy, which worried her. Even more worrisome was the expression on his face-distress. For a brief moment she saw a face of suffering, and she was determined to help the one she cared about.
Beast Boy
I quickly took care of the normal stuff. I washed my hands and brushed teeth in seconds, and most importantly cleared my face.
I did my best to avoid others in the morning, as my animal senses were inefficient. I couldn't raise suspicion of these nightmares; they not only were my problem, but I wanted to avoid thinking about the girl who disappeared altogether.
It hurt to think anymore about her...I thought it was better to move on from each and every flashback.
After the quick cleanup I felt reinvigorated, my animal senses alert. I was about to exit the restroom when I noticed another presence in the hallway. I composed my emotions before meeting up with the person.
Opening the door I wasn't surprised to see Raven. She usually was the one to wake me up when I overslept.
"You actually woke up yourself this time?" Raven's monotone made me envious-she was so talented at concealing her emotions.
"Good morning Rae. Finally cracking jokes now, huh?" I smiled genuinely. Maybe it was stupid judgement but she seemed so lonely, which was something I could empathize with.
Under her hood I could see her eyes roll. "Whatever. Hurry up, everyone's waiting."
