So this is my first story, and it's sort of like a warm-up. It's based on the book He's With Me, and I don't know if I'm going to keep going with it or what.

"I'll miss you," Jake said, pulling Lexie into a tight hug. "So much," he murmured into her hair.
"I know," she breathed out a sigh. "It's only two weeks, though. I'll be back before you know it."
"Right," he pulled back, keeping hold of her, to look at her face. "But I'll have Colin to keep me company." They both looked over to Lexie's twin brother, Colin, as he pushed a dark strand away from Sally's face. Lexie smiled to herself.
"I don't know why they don't just admit they're crazy for each other." She said quietly.
"I don't know why I didn't admit I was crazy for you," Jake said, ducking his head to brush his lips ever so gently against her cheek. Lexie's cheeks burned, and she hid her head in his chest, hugging him one last time.
"I'll be back before you can miss me." She looked into his smoky blue eyes.
"We'll see about that." He laughed and pulled her in for a real kiss, just as the bus pulled up.
"I love you." He whispered to her just as she pulled away.
"I know," Lexie beamed then turned away to say goodbye to her family before heading off, away to the mountains for two weeks of Mother Nature and bug spray.
