At the Jeffersonian
Dr. Goodman made the announcement this morning. I was to have a partner that was an FBI agent. I couldn't believe it; deep down I am thrilled to see the outside. But, I don't let Dr. Goodman know this. To him I show a bit of…well let's say I was not too pleased.
FBI Headquarters
"You've got to be kidding me" I said sarcastically to Deputy Director Cullen. Leaning against the desk I fold my arms across my chest. "You want me to work with who…"
"You're a capable agent, I think you can handle these squints." Cullen says, "Plus, I hear that this Anthropologist is really good and the P.R. will do the agency some good." standing up he walks out of the room. Halting at the door he looks back at one of his best agents, "You have an hour until you meet with Dr. Goodman. He's the director of the Jeffersonian." Chuckling, "good lu-ck"
At the Jeffersonian
"It's been very nice to meet you, I've heard great things" Goodman states. "Follow me I will introduce you to the team."
Coughing to get every ones attention, "Everyone, please gather, I have someone to introduce to you." continuing with his speech, "As you know, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Jeffersonian Institute have teamed up in a joint effort.."
Interrupted by Dr. Hodgins; "uh sir, you think we should wait until the good doctor gets off the phone?" Motioning over his shoulder
Hanging up the phone, "Hodgins, don't you have some dirt to look at"
"People, it is NOT DIRT" lifting his hands to the sealing
Dr. Goodman, "oh for goodness sakes, can everyone just…please, I would like to introduce the agent sent over from the FBI" after introducing everyone he then motions to Booth and Brennan to come forward. "Temperance Brennan I would like to introduce you to Seeley Booth, Seeley Booth…Temperance Brennan"
Extending a hand forward all Temperance can think is, oh god why does he have to be sooo hott. God this is definitely going to be interesting.
Seeing her extend her hand Seeley does the same, grasping her hand in a gently handshake all he think is, why does she have to be so beautiful, god I'm going to be hard all the time. Where did that come from he wonders? Okay, no work and pleasure mixing, remember that. A crooked smile on his face he says, "Very nice to meet you Temperance Brennan."
"Very nice to meet you too, Seeley Booth," slight pause, "agent"
Confused, he says, "Excuse me?"
"Its Agent Brennan, Dr. Booth" She smiles back. Eyes twinkling with laughter."
