Rich lays on Grace's bed, staring up to the ceiling and yawning while Grace hums softly in the background. He turns to face her when the humming stops. "Grace?" He questions, making sure everything's alright. Grace stands up from her desk, walks over to Rich, and lies down beside him.
"Rich, I have a question."
"And what would that be?"
"Do you ever just sit down and think about the future? You know, where you see yourself after college or even university?"
"Yeah, I suppose. Why?"
"I was just curious. What do you see yourself doing...?" He looks down at her, turning her head to face his.
"I see myself with you, doing fuck knows, just having an amazing time." Grace smiles and Rich leans down to kiss her forehead.
"What do you see yourself doing, love?" Although he pretty much already knew. Grace always talked about wanting to be a ballet teacher or an actress. He also knew she wanted to be a mother one day. Rich knew that Grace would be the best mother a child could ask for; she would braid her daughter's hair, or sing her children to sleep at night, read them stories like her mum read her. Rich secretly hoped one day he and Grace could have just that, a family. Together.
"I want two children. A boy and a girl. I would want the boy to be older so he could protect his little sister." Rich snorted but abruptly stopped when Grace shot him a look. He could tell she had thought hard about this. "I have everything planned out except the names." Rich looked at her and rolled his eyes. She lightly slapped his arm, "Well if it's so easy then you try thinking of two names." Rich thought for a moment. He would never let Grace let alone anyone else know that he had thought about their future kid's names once or twice while daydreaming about her. "Uh... Thomas, um, Oliver, I guess and Elise... Elise Violet?" Grace's eyes immediately lit up and she sat up. "Those are perfect names, Rich! How did you ever think of them?" Rich sat up with Grace and let out a deep breath. "Um, well, Thomas Oliver just sounds good and uh, Elise from that song that you, uh, dance to? And Violet from you." Rich sat back against the headboard, a little embarrassed by what he just admitted. But Grace just looked at Rich with the biggest grin on her face and leaned over and kissed him. He grabbed her hand as she cuddled up next to him, letting a yawn escape her mouth. She closed her eyes and soon Rich could tell she was asleep. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." He whispers as he kisses her forehead and closes his eyes, smiling.
