They lay tangled in each others arms, hugging. Kissing.

"We should really go to sleep," he whispered against her lips. Cress kissed him in response.

"We have to wake up early tomorrow," he kissed her nose softly. Cress smiled.

"One more time, just one more kiss," she pleaded. He held her hand in his. Thorne lifted his other hand, the one which belonged to the arm that was slung around her. He moved it away from the space in between her shoulder blades; up to her cheek, caressing it.

"You've been saying that for the last five minutes," Thorne smiled. Cress smiled back at him, and closed the small space between their lips.

"Goodnight," she said as she pulled away.

"Goodnight," he told her, and closed his eyes. Then he felt a quick pressure against his lips. In addition Cress began to giggle.

"Stars above Crescent," his voice had a note of exasperation. Cress's giggle turned into a laugh, she took a deep breath to pull herself together.

"Goodnight, Carswell," she whispered, and put extra pressure on Carswell. He knew that was her retaliation for him calling her Crescent. Cress turned around in his arms, so that her back was against his chest.

"Goodnight," he responded firmly, and kissed the back of her head.
